Lakeboy doesn’t even know where page 1 is in this thread. Saw cudgel and straight up dove for it like he had just been thrown into a gladiator pit.

Fair enough.
Can you point to other mainstream dems who have criticized him during that40 year period?
They need not “criticize,” if they do not take him seriously. Politico article about Sanders’ “little impact on Capitol Hill.”

Another analogy (from a different angle) would be Ron Paul. He spent almost two decades in DC and even ran for POTUS, but had little impact on governmental policy and was definitely not one of the “cool kids” in DC. Unfortunate in his case, because I supported his views for the most part. But it is definitely fair to call him an “outsider,” and it is the term most-used to described his 2012 POTUS run.

Unless one is a simpleton.

Is that supposed to help your point? He has no sense of nuance whatsoever.

Let’s use a really simple analogy, because they seem to be the only type you understand.

Says the guy who is using the simpleton approach of using the term outsider to describe everyone from me to Bernie Sanders

Shorty, you are a paranoid, but not an idiot.
the fact that you throw the word paranoid out doesn't make it true. People see through you man. It's not our fault

For the love of Chuck, I specifically SAID that Trump has “little substantive understanding of the issues.”

Do you actually think I was going for subtlety?
you could have simply started the thread about Trump having little understanding of the issues.

Instead you decided to try to say he's just like Sanders because you know the people on this board don't like Sanders

So yes you are transparent. Live with it

Absolutely.

He speaks in platitudes and soundbites.

For the love of Mike, the man did not even know of the EXISTENCE of the Nuclear Triad. And he was asking the country to give him the keys to the damned thing.

Bernie is a commie. AOC would be his VP if she were 35. Bernie's win causes Pelosi's gavel to go bye bye. AOC rules the dems now.

Bernie is only successful due to years of democrats’ demagoguery, race baiting, and rich v poor class warfare. When conservatives called Obama a socialist, dems rallied to defend him, giving new street cred to what was once a political kiss of death. Now, we have a massive subclass of “victimized”, white-guilt millennial voters; just old enough vote, organize, and influence, yet young enough to be naively detached from the lessons of the 20th century. They are idealistic, energized, own social media, and occupy news rooms up and down the North Atlantic coast. And they have found their champion in Bernie Sanders.

Bernie is an insider. Perhaps the ultimate insider. For 40 years, he’s been a democrat guilty pleasure that was never marginalized because they secretly liked the idea of socialism in America. When lunatic millennials made socialism fashionable during the Obama years, dems flocked to caucus with Bernie, they slowly adopted his insane ideas to leverage his base, and they eagerly backed his acolytes in races all over the country. Now the establishment has lost control of their pet socialist. The horse has left the barn.

He could not be LESS like Trump.
