incarceration ratios being higher than violent crime ratios isn’t the doing of minorities

What about the disparity between male and female incarceration, which is even more out of balance? Maybe we should address that problem first, since it is so much greater.

Caucasians are more likely to die during an arrest than blacks. Look it up. Yet another false narrative.

One can be incarcerated for non-violent crimes

Let me get this straight. Are you implying that blacks and whites commit homicide at the same rate?

Offense charged
Murder and nonnegligent manslaughter
Black or African American
Percent distribution: 51.1
Keep in mind, that blacks comprise about 13% of the total population.

Of course, but if we want to talk about non-violent crimes, the problem is even worse.

No. I’m implying nothing. There’s no hidden message in anything I’m saying.

Do the incarceration ratios you cite take into account priors? What are the ratios for 1st offense, 2nd offense, etc? If there truly is a large difference, that is an issue. I would also be interested to see if they account for different standards in different states etc. how in depth are the studies you are referencing?

The commonality amongst the US prison population has one common denominator. And we all know what this is.

Ironically they want the same people in charge of health care.
