Before tax day is forgotten this year, consider how many people make $$$ off income taxes

and filing them.
You have all the IRS employees
Staffers who write tax law
Attorneys
Accountants
Software compaines
Tax specific companies (HR Block, etc)
And others
Most all of these people want the status quo because so much of their livelihoods come from the act of government taking your income from you at the barrel of a gun.
At least with the ethanol scam I have some small option. These people above are a part of your lives forever, or until we change the system.

I mean you can file it yourself.
Taxes aren't that complicated. Accountants aren't going to suddenly disappear if the tax stops being a thing.

All of this is absolutely true.
We have another one in unemployment. The unemployment offices should be trying to put themselves out of business, but regardless of the economy, they always seem to have plenty of business.
