British Airways, Air Canada and the Lufthansa announced that week they were halting flights to the China.
Also, the American Airlines pilots union had told their pilots not to fly to China and filed suit to stop all American flights between the U.S. and China.
So it wasn't like Trump did it in a vacuum.

Nancy Pelosi was in China Town telling people not to be afraid and come here for some fun. IMO what is happening (and has happened) with this Coronavirus pandemic was a measured and calculated attempt to dislodge DJT from office.
It remains to be seen if the electorate will take the bait and vote DJT out of office.

It was not only the airlines in the U.S. taking action, other countries had announced Chinese travel restrictions before the U.S. - Russia, Japan, Pakistan and Italy.
