You give Hussein too much credit lol. Actually more like only 1 percent was to be the new norm. He rarely saw a 2% his entire 8 years in office

The Wall Street Journal broke down his "Recovery Act" line by line.

12.5% stimulus
87.5% pork

Perfect example of the liberal mind. On one hand they say the economy is only working for the rich and on the other hand they credit Obama for the great condition of the economy currently. Some crazy, hypocritical, dishonest mother frickers

Well by year, the real GDP was over 2% in 4 of his 8 years.

2010: 2.6
2012: 2.2
2014: 2.5
2015: 2.9

1) The fact the economic recovery started under Obama is verified fact. 2) Presidents have very little to no impact on the economy regardless of who is sitting behind the resolute desk at the time.

the stock market, jobs numbers and unemployment rates say otherwise.
prove me wrong.

Deduct QE and ZIRP and let me know what the adjusted GDP was between 2010-2015. I’ll predict well below 2%. Fact is Obammy’s economic policy was staying out of the Fed’s way.

What I want to know is where is all the stimulus money and where are Joe's shovel ready jobs? Surely he can point to some completed projects?

Mismanaged the $10 trillion (with a T) of additional debt and also mismanaged the Fed rate of zero (called it easing) and jobs created were mostly part time and low paying jobs.

Do the stats really support that though? By returns, the stock market did better under Obama, job numbers were better, and unemployment rate was cut from 9.9% in 2009 down to 4.7 in 2016, 4.1 in 2017.

Lies
Damned lies
Statistics

Trump crushes on labor participation rate increases; types of jobs; expansion of manufacturing.

Plus, as noted, stock market was not much higher than where it was before 2008 crash.

The Democrats really need to coordinate on these types of things they are going to say to the media.. All of the Dem POTUS candidates are telling anyone who will listen that the economy is NOT that good, that it almost SUCKS.. So Obama is here telling us that the economy is great?? Which is it? Does Obama have credit for making the economy suck?? Can't have it both ways..

There is a lot of willful ignorance in this thread.

Obama's policies laid the kindling, but Trump's policies and regulatory reform was like a blowtorch on the kindling, setting it ablaze.

Democrats: The current economy SUCKS! Thanks to Donald Trump, the only people doing well are the billionaires and 1%. Everyone else is just barely scraping by. The unemployment rates are a lie and a joke. We’ve got to have a government overhaul and takeover of every major industry to correct the terrible path we are on.

Also Democrats: The economy is awesome and it’s because of Obama, not Trump.

Yes I touched on that same hypocrisy in a similar thread last week.

Trump has them so twisted up they can’t figure out how to take him on. They have no real plan or ideas. Just free this and free that. Trump bad and every other go to label they can think of.
