I certainly ain't against it, but I hate it when this kinda stuff pops up. I've never heard of sudden release of this type of information other than a Mueller Report type situation or some release of facts like this through legal documents filed with the court, a la in an unsealed indictment. To just informally release mere accusations would open Barr et al up to civil legal action.
This bothers me because folks start to expect something that wasn't realistic in the first place, then of course when it doesn't happen there's unnecessary blame thrown around.
