Well there's something you don't see every day.

quote:

Members of an Ohio congregation are inviting the community to a Sept. 8 worship service officially welcoming one of the few openly transgender Baptist ministers as their new pastor.

Erica Saunders, a 2019 graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Divinity ordained to the gospel ministry this spring by Wake Forest Baptist Church, began July 1 as pastor of Peace Community Church in Oberlin, Ohio.

Founded in 1866 as the First Baptist Church of Oberlin, the congregation today describes itself as a “small, but active and social action-oriented congregation” that is “very involved” in the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America, the Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists, the Alliance of Baptists and the American Baptist Churches of the Rochester/Genesee Region.

Never understood how you heathen protestants could have so many micro sects.

Have fun in eternal damnation.

Morally/religiously right or wrong...it’s just strange how many people are declaring they are a different sex.

Think that they are American Baptists, one of the seven sisters of heresy:

- United Methodists (UMC)
- Evangelical Lutheran Church (ELCA)
- Presbyterian Church United States (PC-USA)
- Episcopal Church
- American Baptist Churches
- United Church of Christ (UCC - Obama's Church)
- Disciples of Christ

Those denominations are all in on the LGBTPQ2+ stuff, pro open borders, pro amenesty, pro socialism, pro Islam.

If you're one of the few in those organizations that's actually a Christian, get out.

This is a documentary supposed to come out soon that will be an important one to watch...

United Methodists (UMC)

Please don't lump my church in there with that mob. Yes, there are elements within the UMC who are all in on the SJW bullcrap, but they were recently voted down and told to STFU about this nonsense and preach the Gospel.

Many are expected to leave, and the vast majority of UMC members are happy to see them go.

The only reason that happened was that the Methodist delegations from Africa voted to stay orthodox. The UMC in the US would have overwhelmingly run with it

While I agree to a point, where I disagree is if you are insinuating that the Catholic Church has anyone in over the last 1500 years who won't be in hell with the Protestant sects.

This is accurate.

I wonder what the ratio is overall between what I consider bible based christianity vs social justice christianity.

Orthodox catholic and conservative protestant vs all the liberal Catholics and protestants these days.

There was a recent poll that showed a schism between leadership and membership in the U.S.

Membership is overwhelmingly conservative while leadership is just the opposite. If the split happens, then those clergy who remain will more closely reflect membership. That is the problem in the UMC right now.

The vast majority of the UMC members I know are fed up with this SJW/LGBTQRSTUV nonsense. They want those idiots gone, as do I.

You wanna preach that crap? Fine. There are plenty of denominations that will welcome you and celebrate your "inclusiveness."

They aren't. The Alliance of Baptists is a liberal group that broke off from the SBC in the 1980's (well before the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship did).

I think Jesus would promote getting help for the mentally ill, but not putting them into a position of authority.
