I have no problem with individuals keeping more of their money and I have no problem with companies keeping more of their money.

Why do you think this?

Well, you seem upset corporations are getting to keep their money.

I didn't know asking questions and having a conversation with someone with an opposing view was a ridiculous game.

Hope your students never question your material.

I've also heard about a dozen companies announcing ~15% pay raises for base employees. Within the hour, BB&T was the latest company to make that commitment.

banks and telecoms. telecoms have the net neutrality repeal that should bring them in quite a few extra dollars at the consumers expense.. when does it trickle down to employees of small businesses? isn't that the real goal of trickle down economics?

When I googled the only layoffs by AT&T that came up occurred in October, 2016.

That's over a year ago and sure doesn't fit the definition of "just" laid off. And all of those layoffs were in the "management" category due to corporate reorganization.

You're safe. You work for the government. You can't be laid off no matter how poorly you perform in your job or how much time you spend on TigerDroppings while you're at work.

you didn't google very hard. please tell me more about my government job that you don't know shite about

You're confused between investment banks and commercial banks. These bonuses appear to be going to all employees, not just the already well paid investment banking crowd. You're really off base on this one - uncharacteristically so even.

You didn't answer my question. How do you know ISPs will make extra money at the customer's expense?

they have a history of abusing consumers? why would anyone think that deregulation would result in ISPs treating their consumers better? the only thing that does that is competition/the threat of them losing money

"Trickle down economics" is as meaningful as asking me what "a flying thingy in the air" is, and expecting me to know WTF you're referring to.

Trickle down is nearly meaningless. If you'd like to discuss economics, let's start with economic terms. K?

Regarding small businesses, they should do better with this tax cut than large corporations. To that point, the Russell 2000 is probably a good place for you to invest your tax cut.

Do you not understand the difference between what a corporation "might" do in the future, and a law?

Several corporations have increased pay and given bonuses in the last couple of day because of the tax break. It has happened therefore it is not speculation.

I am starting to wonder if you are a cubbies alter.
