Being a racist, just like being gay, doesn't automatically prevent you from having your wedding covered by someone who is in the business to cover it.
But hey that's probably to complicated of a concept for you.
but hey, you completely made up some other question and answered it. "prevent you from having your wedding covered"? What does that have to do with forcing someone to perform a service that is in direct contradiction to your religious beliefs.
it seems you are saying that if you don't want to risk being forced to shoot a Westboro Baptist wedding then you shouldn't become a videographer.
AMERICA! Land of opportunity.

Actually it is fairly cut and dry. There are no...NO...laws protecting me from firing my gay assistant tomorrow if I like for no other reason then the fact that he is gay.
So the purpose of this law is what again?
Well it actually opens the door to further discrimination against people of all walks of life.
Watching multiple interviews with various Arizonan Thug Republicans...it's pretty obvious none of them actually read the bill before they voted on it...you can see it by how much they are now squirming to distance themselves from it.
So yeah, pretty cut and dry...it was an unnecessary bill that further erodes civil rights...kinda the opposite of what they are saying.
Soon and I mean very soon...you are going to see a new civil rights bill work it's way through congress that names homosexuals as a protected class...and it will be your own damn fault. Because guys like me could have given a shite about all this before the GOP started meddling in it and made it a far larger deal then it actually was.
this is all so entirely wrong, i don't even know where to start.
for one, the RFRA even in Arizona has been around since 1999. these amendments are in response to the Elane Photography lawsuit in New Mexico in which gays sued a photographer. Why didn't THEY just find another f'ing photographer?
The "thugs" who are distancing themselves are trying to save themselves from the thug media and militant gay rights movement who've completely misstated what the RFRAs are about and ignore their history.

It because a lot of people see this as evil.
Why is protecting private property rights considered evil?

Would you tolerate evil? Would you tolerate Hitler killing millions for his own enjoyment?
Goodwin's law and not even an issue of morality like this bill is.

But to pass such a bill and make it into law is the pretense to continue further, which will lead to full on Fascism.
You don't know what fascism is.
A state telling you that you have to serve somebody that you don't want to serve is fascism and a violation of property rights.

No, and i wouldn't serve him in my restaurant. If you have your way, government will force me to serve Hitler.

And let's not forget the ultimate goal from the left. They want this bill overturned, because eventually, they want the Church to be forced to perform gay marriages. That is the end game here.

No its' not. The state telling you that you cannot discriminate and say whites only, for example is legal. Hotels cannot say no Jews. The days of No Irish need apply are over.

Why can't you find in a 2 page document where it says your claims?

I seriously doubt you'll have a problem staying at the Marriott if this bill passes, Jeaux.
You already know that. It just galls the shite out of you that you can't play the victim.

The days of No Irish need apply are over.
This Bill in AZ simply codifies previous court rulings dealing with how the CRA may be applied. It changes nothing.

So here, once again, here is the bill.

Your skin color reference is complete, total, unadulterated bullshite. Not a hint of veracity to the assertion, and that is just pitiful. You've either taken no time to actually read the bill, or you're lying about it.
Reading it and comprehending it is something you clearly lack the skills to do.

It's time to stop this nonsense. We've be lured in by Rex Lite, and for that I am ashamed.
This thread and the abject idiocy i've seen on FB today about RFRA have led me to take a serious break from all social media and this board.
Keep up the clear thinking. My brain needs a respite.

Honestly you never really notice the weather here even during the summer.
But I love, just love when everyone else is buried under snow drifts and we are out hiking or swimming and the like.
I hate the politics of this state at times, but you cannot beat the weather.

Either one of you going to respond and discuss the ACTUAL TEXT of the bill? I have asked several times for a cite to the actual language you object to.
Why do you focus on any possible argument you can imagine....except actually discussing the bill?
nope.
I have said more then once, this bill should not exist.
As it exists it opens up the state to all sorts of government backed racism.
And as I have said more then once. You are welcomed to be a racist fricktard in your own home and in public forums. But when you are in business you get to follow this nasty little thing called civil rights. Arizona trying to chip away at that is where I have the problem.
