Fox News Criticizes the Anti-Gay Jim Crow laws.
Seems the network you all bow down too thinks the way I do on this subject.

do you know anything about the RFRA and its history? I mean besides what may be on TV or DailyKos or something?
Welcome to the new America, where everyone has the right to shop a business of their choosing despite their skin color or whose bed they choose to sleep in. The world that your kind occupied for years is dying a slow painful death. As it should.

but, when a Christian homosexual videographer (I know some, so this isn't farfetched) is conscripted by the state to tape a Westboro Baptist Church wedding ceremony, you and your ilk will be need to step up and take some of the blame.
Being a racist, just like being gay, doesn't automatically prevent you from having your wedding covered by someone who is in the business to cover it.
But hey that's probably to complicated of a concept for you.

When a Ca restaurant wont serve proponents of the AZ bill, is that ok?
Under the current Arizona law...all they have to say is it's against their religion to serve food to dumbasses.

He claims he did.
He also says it's poorly worded, which it is not. It is 2 pages.
It does not discriminate against anyone. It simply protects a business from the government mandating business to provide services for something they have the freedom not to do.
asurob doesn't like it because it keeps the government out of business. asurob wants more government dictating who will serve who. Yet he wants government out of abortion. I'm sure he also supports NY's ban on soda, yet wants to keep government out of infanticide.
Typical liberal.

You could have just as easily titled this thread "AZ Senate Passes 'Right to Defend Morality' Bill".
It is sad this country is embracing and celebrating a behavior that is morally wrong instead of trying to find ways to help people out of that type of lifestyle. What makes it worse is how people who try to help people out of that lifestyle are demonized by the media and leftists as freaks and religious nutjobs.

That is the rub, isn't it? It seems perfectly sensible that if I don't like you I shouldn't have to do business with you. I am fine with this also as long as the business who does not want to do business with certain groups does not accept any assistance of any sort in managing their business from the state which is financed, in part, by the groups who they wish not to trade with. For example, no access to the courts. AFter all I am sure that if you have a customer who won't pay their bills you would not want to use any money that gay people remitted as taxes to run the court system as a tool to collect that bad debt. Your religious beliefs would certainly prevent you from calling on the courts, financed by gay people, to act as your muscle. The same is true of police protection, use of public highways and all sorts of other things that gay people and other groups you don't like help pay for.
Of course this would be impossible I know...so why not prevent any business who makes these types of decisions from using the court system for ANY purpose, including bankruptcy protection when their stupid decision making forces them to abandon their creditors?
That is a horrible, horrible argument.

What's wrong with that. Private business can serve whoever the frick they want, despite how much you pansies on the left bitch about it. You want to do something about it? Don't patronize said business. Let the market take care of things.

Please cite the specific portion of the law you find objectionable. You seem to do a lot of name calling and linking to Media Matters. But you have yet to engage in the actual language of the bill......hmmmm...I wonder why......

And the reason this bill came to fruition, was to protect against instances that happened in California, where the government sued a private business because it wouldn't make a cake for a gay couple. Instead of the gay couple spending their money somewhere else, they brought it up to the state, and the morons in California state government ordered him to bake the cake.
That is perfectly find to asurob. Your business model is only as good as the one the government deems appropriate. He wants government to be able to control private business.
he's a liberal. This is what they do.

This isn't as cut-and-dried as your reductionist platitudes make it seem.
Actually it is fairly cut and dry. There are no...NO...laws protecting me from firing my gay assistant tomorrow if I like for no other reason then the fact that he is gay.
So the purpose of this law is what again?
Well it actually opens the door to further discrimination against people of all walks of life.
Watching multiple interviews with various Arizonan Thug Republicans...it's pretty obvious none of them actually read the bill before they voted on it...you can see it by how much they are now squirming to distance themselves from it.
So yeah, pretty cut and dry...it was an unnecessary bill that further erodes civil rights...kinda the opposite of what they are saying.
Soon and I mean very soon...you are going to see a new civil rights bill work it's way through congress that names homosexuals as a protected class...and it will be your own damn fault. Because guys like me could have given a shite about all this before the GOP started meddling in it and made it a far larger deal then it actually was.

No fool Private businesses cannot discriminate who they serve. Segregation is over don;t you get it. If you serve the public, you serve the public. You can;t say whites only. Civil rights Act ended segregation.
If I show up at a restaurant and you show up also, we both have access to eating. Black, white, Hispanic, Jewish, Baptist etc etc
