I lived in California for 25 years, it is as blue as can be. Maybe in the 90's, but now? Hell no!

It may not be correct.

But it starts a conversation. The left uses this tool (absurd statements) often and they score with it.

I should run Wireshark on my home lab with the dates rolled back and pass it onto pillow man.

Might as well get in on the grift myself. I'm sure I could conjure up something more believable than saving a list of IP addresses in Word then changing the file extension to txt.

It's shocking how much the state has changed and how rapidly it happened. The 90s and early 2000s were still red but trending to blue. Now it is one party rule in Sacramento. That's why I use us as the example of what will happen nationally if we aren't unified in 2024 and can also appeal to the independent voters. The dems will absolutely throttle us from coast to coast if we don't. At that point the changes will come fast and furious and there is no stopping it.

I do believe the race was closer than it shows, but yea Trump lost Cali bigly.

I looked over every precinct in California from 2020 and there were approximately 480K people who voted for at least 1 down-ballot Republican but not Trump. So even if Trump didn't alienate these voters who typically vote Republican and received all of their votes he would've finished with 37%. In a Presidential Election, 37-38% is about the ceiling for Republican candidates in California. McCain and Romney both received 37%, and if Trump had received all of the votes from people he alienated who split their tickets in 2016, he would've finished with 38%. He instead finished with 32%.

California is about as blue as it comes especially the coastal counties where the bulk of the population lives. You can blame ballot harvesting today, but going back to 1992 it has been that way. Even Orange County is reliably blue today in Presidential elections.

California Republicans are different than most national Republicans. The Dornans,Dreyers,Rohrbachers and Cox's are old memories

Every "blue state" is like this.

Every state is like this, you tard. Rural counties are red and larger cities are blue, with some exceptions. Also if that is supposed to be a 2020 election map, that's not accurate for California.

There are lots of Republicans in California. But they are not like Republicans in the South and Midwest.

Most of my neighbors Uptown are Republicans, but they would never vote for Trump.

Sad part is Kari Lake is pretty gifted. Someone like her can only take your cause so far (she doesn't care about conservatism), but if her skills were more wisely used she could advance herself and do us some good.

Unfortunately it seems like her loss led to her just completely going off the deep end. Which if you accept my theory that she's a Trump-like extreme narcissist, I guess makes some sense. Avenging her loss by any means necessary becomes the only focus, etc.

It's incredible how rapidly the state changed from 2000 to 2012. Bush received 42% and 44% in 2000 and 2004, respectively. There were Republicans he underperformed in 2004 because of the Iraq War and if he received their votes he would've been around 46%. In 2008 and 2012, McCain and Romney both finished with 37%. 2008 and 2012 had more votes cast for President than there were in 2004, yet Bush received approximately 500K and 670K more votes than McCain and Romney did, respectively.

Heck, even in 2006 with a very unpopular President and a blue-wave year, multiple state-wide Republicans finished with more than 40% of the vote. What the hell happened? Was it the Iraq War that turned people off? In 2020, there were approximately 5.1 Million more votes cast than in 2004, yet Trump received only 500K more votes than Bush did in 2004.

After the 1992 drubbing by Clinton, the RNC essentially packed up and left CA. Pete Wilson backed initiatives back then really galvanized the Democrats and they used them like a sledgehammer on the Republicans for the next three Presidential elections until Democrats had total control of the Assembly.

I used to work for a company based in Humboldt County and spent a few weeks in Eureka. They have people on the city council in the Green Party. There are people there who think Nancy Pelosi is too far to the right.

This was over 20 years ago. I'd assume it's probably worse. Interestingly enough Eureka had to be the whitest town I've ever been to.

That area of NorCal has been crazy for 30+ years. It's not particularly a wealthy region, but it is a place that a lot of hippies found and basically created their own little world. If the South has Qanon.....the Democrats there have just as crazy.

Well, that's like saying if you exclude every big city in every state then they would all be red, well yes.

30 years ago we voted against illegals getting public services.

Prop 187

15 years ago we voted against gay marriage.

Prop 8

Things change quickly. It can happen to your states too. Don't let that happen.
