I bet a lot of those construction workers are going to be surprised to learn they are "far right activists."

I said last night that closing down construction would not end well.

An entire industry doing a strike for a day to make a point would be bad.

Shutting down an entire industry for two weeks because they blame them for the ongoing issues is just begging for trouble.

If they didn’t have issues with the construction workers before, they do now.

The workers should build a few killdozers for their protests.

I knew the government messing with the distribution of grog would send the populace over the edge.

Can we officially remover the “FORMER” from the historical description of Australia’s founding?

They are construction workers. I bet a framing hammer would come in handy. There is hope in the numbers of the constructions workers.

This pipe dream is up there with "Cops here would never enforce gun control laws!"

Exactly. There will be some that will enforce whatever our rulers want. Just look at the robocop body armor at the feaux DC rally last weekend.

Who says that action would take place at a rally like that?

Smart move would be to tail the Fairy Butt Inspectors to where they stop to gas up or eat then either steal their car or rifle the contents to even the odds.

How exactly did this go down? We’re they coerced to do this or give them up under their own free will? We’re they threatened with anything? I honestly don’t know

unfortunately police will choose their paychecks and enforce tyranny... the left knows this, self preservation is strong survival instinct that they use...

There was a “mandatory” buyback starting in the mid-90s IIRC.

People still have weapons but depending on the type and the situation, they are considered illegal and possessing them is a major issue. Not even going into a lack of ammo.

I meant that, we think cops and military wouldn't turn on our citzen here, but I think some would. I was using the latest DC rally as an example.

A significant portion of the police and military may turn on the people. But anyone motivated by a paycheck rather than by ideology is likely to bolt if the tide turns against them.

There is a significant chunk of the military which would do it based on ideology but they also tend to be some of the most incompetent fricking soldiers we have.

Certainly such riots would be somewhere on the front page of at least one major US media outlet, right?

Fox News: Two stories about the submarine deal

CBS News: Nothing

NBC News: Nothing

ABC News: Nothing

CNN: Only a story about Australia losing a third of its koala population

MSNBC: Nothing

The New York Times: A story about "Asia" (read: Chy-na) worried about the new subs the Aussies will be getting from us and then an op-ed on the Aussies making "a risky bet" on the recent arms deal with the US.

LA Times: Nothing

The largest news outlets in the country have nothing on this, not even OANN (only a story about the sub deal).
