That is a valid concern. However, the VW plant in Chattanooga voted to unionize last year so you already have them. Plus the membership of the UAW is going to force the UAW bosses to abandon the dems or replace them with people who will if Trump’s policies work.

Calm down... Try to spell the state you are fighting for correctly...

Shreveport has been a shithole for a very long time, well known to just about anyone that doesn't have anything invested there... However, compared to Shreveport, I would have to say that Slidell, Monroe, and Lafayette are head and shoulders better...

A shitehole can be revitalized if someone tries.

Yeah, if you move a certain population out and a different population moves in...

Audi is going to want use familiar vendors to supply goods and services for their first US plant. They may also be able to interchange or borrow labor and administrative personnel.
A nice benefit to companies that build new plants in the US will be the use of modern state of art robotics and smart building technology.
Retrofitting an existing older building is not high on new factory site selection.

Anywhere but Alabama would be great. In the past 10 years it feels like we have had 10+ major auto plants spring up in the state.

Shite is getting ridiculous we look like Detroit South

The whole point of buying something like an Audi or a Porsche or a Ferrari etc is that is isn't assembled by lazy low iq American workers.

One of these things is not like the others.

Not trying to be a jerk but its just the truth. Quality control will go to shite just like the BMW's and Mercedes that are assembled here vs Germany.

I’m not sure you are being a jerk, just biased.

Audi makes most of their vehicles in Slovakia, Mexico, India and China. The A3 and A5 are the only current builds coming out of Ingolstadt. Neckarsulm has some of the A series production as well, mostly the A8.

Most of the Q Series come out of Mexico and Bratislava. The A4, A6, Q3, Q3 Sportback, Q5 and Q7 are being built in India.

Yay, for that fine German craftsmanship.

well first of all you can't just buy a ferrari you apply to buy one and if they agree to sell you one then you have to agree not to resale it for a period certain. mercedes builds the GLE SUV: Various trims, including the AMG GLE 53 and 63 S.
GLS SUV: Including the Mercedes-Maybach GLS, GLE Coupe, C-Class Sedan, EQE SUV and EQS SUV: Electric vehicle models,Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV in tuscaloosa. BMW builds X3, X4, X5, X6, X7, and XM models in spartanburg, south carolina which happens to be globally their largest plant. toyota sells 2 cars in the US built in japan, the land cruiser which we know you can't afford and Rav4 everything else offerd for sale in the US is built in the US .honda doesn't sell a single model built in japan in the US, in fact starting in 2018 they began exporting over 100k cars annually built in the US.

it's not much of a choice sport, if you want a foreign car it's probably going to be made in america, and porsche has announced plans to open an american plant.

Maybe its following after the granddaddy of auto manufacturing, Detroit.

Jokes aside, I fully support any new manufacturing in the US. We need to build so many factories. The things we use should be built here, with American workers.

Not child labor in China.

They could tell the guvna they wanted a State with few lawsuit opportunities and we all know that would be a resounding no from Landry.

You do realize General Motors had a major auto plant in west Shreveport along I-20 and the major east-west rail line from Dallas to Atlanta?

I don’t want my German or Japanese car built in America, I want it built in Germany and Japan.
