Gavin and the left will call that little girl racist…she was guilty of racial profiling and the terror those robbers will feel after being profiled will stay with them forever.

It’s a shame what they will go through because of that little girl.

But a political party doing everything in their power to stop law-abiding citizens from owning a tool to deter the robbery is.

It most definitely would happen in a red state like Louisiana- especially in cities like New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Shreveport.

Nah.... it happens a lot more in some places, than others.

If only we could figure out the common denominator?

Many years ago but while stationed in Bossier City Shreveport had more off limits locations than I ever saw at any other duty stations.

The root cause is political SixthAndBarone - but you likely have severe TDS and do not think logically.

Never happens in Red states.

LINK

quote:

The suspect in the shooting of two Huntsville police officers and a civilian has been identified as Juan Robert Laws, 24.

Laws is charged with capital murder of a law enforcement officer in the death of officer Garrett Crumby and is held without bond in the Madison County Jail. But this isn’t his first time behind bars.

Laws was out on a $6,000 bond on two assault charges in Madison County. Prosecutors said he was arrested in January 2022 for suspected involvement in a shooting at a downtown bar. Court documents state Laws used a Smith & Wesson M&P (Military and Police) pistol. In that shooting, two people were hurt but the injuries were not serious, so Laws was charged with assault second-degree. Laws was given $3,000 in bonds for each charge. District Judge Linda Coats was assigned the case.

The assault cases are pending and have been sent to the grand jury.

Just two months after the assault arrest, Laws was arrested on a charge of carrying a pistol without a permit, a charge he pleaded guilty to. His bond in the assault case was not revoked at that time. Five days before the Huntsville police shooting, Judge Coats ordered the seized weapon be forfeited, and Laws was to pay $300 plus court costs by September this year.

Coats has also been assigned to the capital murder case. Larry R. Marsili has been appointed as Laws' attorney. Marsili has not returned a call from 1819 News at this time.

It is absolutely political because the Democrats fully support and allow thugs like this on the streets.

It's true this happens in every state. However, there are some key differences. I say this as someone who has lived in California myself for a decade, but now lives in Florida.

In Florida, people are encouraged to shoot these people. My local sheriff will tell you to shoot them and get them off the streets please. We have laws that protect the people who defend themselves this way. We have constitutional carry laws which increases the likelihood any home you enter is armed. So even if you don't have a gun yourself, you're protected by the chance you could be.

In California, you are not encouraged to shoot these people, you are encouraged to appease them. If you shoot back and they aren't like actively in the process of trying to kill you, then you could be held on charges yourself. They do not have laws that defend people who defend their property, and they do not have laws that make it likely someone is armed.

I think the distinct differences here are 100% political.

We most certainly do not all vote for the dems and you should probably read up on our 10-20-Life law aka “Use a gun and you’re done”.

Here’s a breakdown of what we’re allowed by law to do regarding self defense:

quote:

For any self-defense claim in California to be valid, three elements must be present. First, you must have a reasonable belief that you or another person are in imminent danger of suffering harm. This belief does not have to be perfectly accurate, but it must be a conclusion that an average person in the same situation would have reached based on the circumstances as they appeared to you. The second element is that the danger must be imminent, meaning it is immediate and present. The threat must be happening or about to happen, not something that might occur in the future or that has already passed. For example, a threat to harm you next week would not justify the immediate use of force, as the law addresses dangers that require instant action. Finally, the force used must be proportional to the threat. This means you can only use the amount of force reasonably necessary to stop the danger. If someone shoves you, responding with deadly force would be considered excessive, as proportionality is a factor in determining if the act was justified.
