Atlantic Beach is the historically black beach in the Myrtle Beach area. Black bike week began as a Memorial Day motorcycle rally for black motorcycle enthusiasts, most of whom were military veterans. It was limited to the areas in and surrounding Atlantic Beach. It has morphed into a ghetto festival where black people come to Myrtle Beach and act like hoodlums for a weekend.

The main problem is this event is centered in Atlantic Beach which is a historically black "town" in North Myrtle Beach. This event is literally all this place has. Atlantic Beach is the size of a neighborhood.
The other problem is whenever the city of Myrtle Beach or anyone else tries to do anything, the NAACP immediately files lawsuits against everyone and everything.

Perhaps figure out a way to sliding scale the license fees to last year's city expenditures for the same festival (ie charge them on the back end for costs to city) and make it so it isn't financially viable anymore. Add curfews and close the beaches.

Hey huge improvement. I was just saying why don’t people fist fight anymore like we used too instead of just shooting each other over every fricking perceived insult.

Black Biker Week is the worst in Myrtle Beach. The restaurants are told to just let diners who don’t pay leave. Not worth getting shot over and if you try to stop the person leaving without paying, the national media will say you are racist. Everyone knows to avoid Myrtle Beach during that time, particularly the Atlantic Beach area in North Myrtle Beach.

Got back yesterday from Myrtle Beach. We stayed a little south of Atlantic Beach area but it was still crowded with motorcycles. I had no idea that it was black bike week. ??My son wanted to go on a golf trip with a few of his buddies after graduating High School and we went to Myrtle Beach. We were gone for most of the day when we were there playing golf. There was one day they went to the beach and they came back with some stories. Apparently there was a group of black strippers who were drinking. The boys were throwing the football and they asked to throw with them, they said OK. One of them dove for a ball and their boob fell out. I'm sure the 18 yo boys were like alright! They also said that there was a twerking film session going on. A bunch of the motorcycle guys showed up so they left. At night, they were everywhere, running the streets all night long. It was hard to get to sleep. We left early Saturday morning before the majority of the activities took place. We all definitely got an eye full of big, and I mean big black women in bikinis, lots of hail damage noted. And also big girls on bikes, I don't know how the suspension held up. We had a good time but will definitely not go back during memorial day weekend.
