This will not go on for long. The cops don't want people to get a sense of how much quieter things are with less cops

Well, it can get real quiet if the fire department and ambulances don't want to come either. We'll see, to me the only way to have an impact as a group is - they virtually all go. And not like, lockup.... just leave whatever is there and don't answer the phone.

The officer might need their pay check and a family to support.
Until the officer finds a better opportunity the officer might play the game.

There are murders in the same parts of the city every night.... Jesus could patrol those neighborhoods and that wouldn’t change

That’s a mistake.
He was a social worker.

Or maybe, just maybe, he's just hoping some stupid frick gives him a reason to use all of the weapons at his disposal.

So he can be charged with murder?

Given you might end up seeing said family on prison visits, this might be time to use those sick days.

Yeah, I would be gone, if I was one in any major city... I would be making plans. This isn't going away anytime soon.

Each his own, not sure I'm going to feel so sorry for the next ones. This is one of those hard but easy decision to me, you know it might be rough but there is little doubt its the best decision.

What a pussy that dude must be. Probably one of those cops that actually shoots first and asks questions later.

You know the other cops in that zone set him up.

"Let's not tell Frank. That douchebag will be alone and won't know whether shite or wind his watch."

I would never call out someone that is working and may need that job.

If I was that officer I would hide out, take longer than usual on in service calls, and hide out even more.

No matter what you do if it gets the DA and Mayor in hot water you are toast.

Exactly. EXACTLY

It will happen without the cops just like it happened with the cops last week

Or he (or she) could be a few days or weeks away from retirement eligibility. That close, don't risk it.

You serious? The folks in these communities will only be able to keep up this “peaceful” facade for a couple of days. Once the sun goes down Friday evening that zone is going to be lit and not in a good way. In a month after all truck drivers start refusing to deliver in that area they will be on all fours eating one another.

They are right to not show up.

But I think we can’t afford to allow the communists to take hold of any part of America.
