Trumps own mouth put him in the crosshairs every time

It was avoidable

Democrats didn't create that. Trump did.

It doesn't matter? What ammo did Trump give to get indicted or impeached? They made it all up.... Just like they will to DeSantis.

Then why hasn't he been prosecuted yet? It is garbage.

Well one was POTUS and one wasnt. So it's more than a double standard.

Ok well in that case Desantis and every other R candidate did as well. Wow, what a productive conversation we are having.

It’s like some of y’all cannot come to grips with the reality that Trump is part of this equation and his existence can be acknowledged without derailing every conversation into “Trump bad, say it now or you are in his growing cult of dummies that won’t allow us certain victory”.

I don’t see any R winning this election, and it’s sadly because of how the dems have treated Trump.

Several of us have been saying that for months. People are allowing the left to dictate the GOP primary.

What did DeSantis do? He was still trying to win his second term as Florida's governor when Trump started melting about him.

The left?

Isn't it the job of each candidate to persuade voters?

If Ron is better than why can't he convince enough people?

Trump first attacked him THREE DAYS BEFORE HIS ELECTION.

Trump actively tried to hurt a Conservative Republican Governor running for Reelection of the 3rd most populous state 3 days before that election.

Because in March, Trump started going crazy with his anti-DeSantis attacks and Cult45 blindly followed him off the cliff. Prior to that point, Cult45 liked DeSantis for the most part.

Have you just ignored the last 4 decades of American politics?

You do realize in the past 4 decades republicans have been in the White House more than democrats, right

And I agree, the reality is there was never going to be a smooth way to transition the entire voting base away from Trump. Unless of course he never ran and endorsed someone, but that obviously didn’t happen, and I don’t see how any R garners enough enthusiasm to win.

By the time Trump’s Twitter account was suspended in the final days of his presidency, he had amplified QAnon-promoting accounts on the platform more than 300 times. Trump also praised the QAnon community multiple times, and after he left office, QAnon show co-hosts known online as “intheMatrixxx” and “ShadyGrooove” received press credentials for a Trump rally.

Associates of Trump reportedly tried to “weed out any QAnon influences — both adherents and postings — getting close to him” and tried to distance the MAGA movement more broadly from the conspiracy theory movement. But instead, Trump has continued to amplify the movement, reposting QAnon-promoting accounts on Truth Social over 630 times since he began actively using the platform in late April 2022. And now he has reached a new milestone: amplifying posts from QAnon’s central figure.

Since January, Trump has boosted posts from Q — known as “Q drops” — at least four times.

quote:

The latest “Q drops” Trump amplified, on August 1, were in a video that features Q posts, references to QAnon shows, as well as suggestions that officials from former President George W. Bush’s administration would be indicted and sent to Guantanamo Bay for supposedly orchestrating the 9/11 terrorist attacks (a false conspiracy theory that is nonetheless widely supported within the QAnon community).

The hard truth is no Republican will beat Trump in the primary. He has too many hard-core followers, so win or lose in the general, Trump will be the Republican in the field. The question will be if supporters of other candidates will vote for him. It will take 100 million Trump votes to beat the corruption that will take place in 2024. Be one of one hundred million. This republic can't survive another 4 years of a Dem in the white house.

I took your comment to mean Trump caused division by running at all, which I just view as prioritizing his own political interests. I think any R that has announced is guilty of the same thing. Desantis even ran for governor while he was clearly going to run for president. I don’t fault him for that, I just think it’s a circular conversation.

If Ron's campaign wasn't prepared for this then maybe they don't deserve it.

Like Trump and ballot harvesting?

The best choice isn't always the best candidate, unfortunately.
