At the risk of echo chamber - anybody else hardened on DACA

I’m a Conservative-Nationalist through and through.
This board has flipped two of my views to the other end of the spectrum.
1- DACA members need to go. It’s not fair to those who came/are waiting/have been waiting legally.
2- Abortion should not be federally banned. (Unrelated, I know, but it’s an instance of an issue that I’ve gone from hard right to left of center on).
The DACA folks are being hurt by the Democrats and their antics. Now people are tired of all the shite.

Yeah as soon as I saw how shrill and hysterical Dems were getting I knew that would be the reaction. To elevate illegals over Americans is bound to make people say “ well frick em” because it’s like generosity is being met with entitlement. I’m personally staying flexible on it .

Have we confirmed that’s it’s really 3.6 million like USA Today reported? I honestly would love to deport them all but I know it won’t happen

I don't ever want to see them receive citizenship. If they give them federal tax ids and let them stay, I can live with that. There is no way in hell they should be able to vote. Ever. That's a deal breaker for me.

What sickens me is, that for the first time in years there was a chance for real compromise; daca for border security. Both popular, both workable. Everyone walks away with a win.
