Check out the media that God fearing folk call the New Testament.

A pathetic attempt to mend a broken branch.

It only took 600 years to figure out how to manipulate the words and print it.

No sure whats hard to believe. Revelations is about a prophetic vision. Its a much different book than the rest of the NT. Whether you believe in Johns interpretation of his vision is one thing, but understanding why Revelation is interpreted differently than the rest of scripture is a pretty easy concept.

Revelations is war time literature..the Bible is literature...its all open to interpretation imo.

I always find that fascinating about evangelicals. They say they take the Bible literally until Revelations...then its all about interpretations and metaphors.

There is a general rule applied when one studies eschatology, "when the literal sense makes perfect sense, seek no other sense."

For instance Revelation 12:6 says, "And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;"

When applying the rule, the phrase "became as blood" the literal sense doesn't work because the moon turning to blood isn't possible (unless it is supernatural). So, a celestial event known as a lunar eclipse would better explain it as the moon turns "red as blood" during the event.

There are many occurrences in Revelation though that are not explainable any other way other than supernatural, like Jesus second coming in Rev. 19 :11-21.

Would you apply this rule to creation as well?

Agree on that point, your personal opinion is yours. I believe in a mostly literal interpretation.
That said; I believe we can agree that most of the Bible is talking about historical/current (at the time) events whereas Revelations is a prophetic vision concerning the future. Yet unfulfilled as of the "end" of the Bible.

Even OT Prophecy can be seen as historical in light of the NT. Not so with Revelation, thus the difference.

Dude, there have been much worse times than this where everyone assumed it was the end. Imagine living through the Black Plague or the Mongol invasions.

America is not a divine nation. Manifest destiny is bullshite.

Unrest does not signal the end times. Unrest in the past makes what's happening in America now look like a minor dispute.

Nope, wrong choice of words, although we know what you mean and agree. God " ALLOWS" it to happen, and scripture >WILL< be fulfilled. God is sovereign and in complete control and God "needs" nothing

I recently went to the bookstore and bought a copy of Orwell’s classic 1984. I had read it before in school but that was a long time ago. I was astounded to see how true this has turned out to be. Rewriting history, not being able to believe the news you hear, the government having listening devices inside everyone’s home, etc. Orwell intended this to be a warning, not an instruction manual. How true that has turned out to be...

Christians? You guys don't represent Jesus Christ, the love he had for us and the message he desired we spread.

What you guys represent is hatred for your neighbors, fellow man and anyone who doesn't agree with your strongly radical political views.

I agree with your point about Satan though. He not only deceived far left people to think he isn't real, he deceived far right to think hatred and propaganda against their fellow man is Christ-like.
