In a nice turn of the story, the local sheriff used another tactic, circumventing the usual process with something called an "intruder affidavit."

So now, I ask you, why isn't an "intruder affidavit" used more often if it was good enough to be used here in this case?
Lazy LE? Not enough money in it for the attorneys?

I had never heard of it until now

The idea that we “haven’t heard of this before” should be a good thing..
BECAUSE WE SHOULDNT NEED IT FOR THIS DUMB shite.
Kick these dumb fricks out of peoples’ homes like a logical society would and move on. Baffles me how there’s any debate on an issue like this. But like another poster mentioned: $$$

Seriously, this document should be available under an open acts request. I would like to see exactly what this is and if ANYONE can fill out and file one of these to get action taken.

Not as a black female.

Would not have squatted if I told him or her to GTFO.

I did some research on her. I believe she is a left leaning democrat.

Most likely.

I don't really understand these squatter situations. If I arrived home and a stranger was in my home, they would cease to breathe within a minute.

Well...knowledge does get passed down.

For squatters, I don't know why this wouldn't be used ASAP. For disputes with landlords and tenants, I could see some litigious reason holding things up by not wanting law enforcement interfering in civil court cases.
