Facts.
No jury from that area on down to the Gulf of America is convicting that man.
Might as well let him walk.
Perps estate should be liquidated to pay for Dad's legal fees as well. Enough is enough. A father should never have to pay to defend his freedom for killing a predator. He did this world a favor.

Killing a pedophile should be equivalent to getting a Queen back in chess. You should get to go get a wrongly convicted person out of jail.

Yea, I mean the guy was out on bail for the charges. It's not like it was some random guy he just suspected was molesting his daughter.

I think the Sheriff is driving this.

Most likely, yes. This is a key piece to the grooming process.

The fine line with vigilante justice is a societal debate going back basically since we have had human society.
The biggest issue is getting it right, especially with the emotions involved.
False allegations happen. Emotional responses don't always dig deep enough due to the irrationality. That's the reason why vigilantism has been illegal in most societies for a long time.

You are truly a piece of shite. Groomer.

Fits the pattern
Family and friends of family are the most likely dangers for CSA.

Yeah, since you experts on the legal side get so much shite right and all.

I don't like jury duty. I like to be on jury team to say not guilty.

Dad STILL has to go through the legal process of defending himself, which by the way isn't cheap nor stress free.
I get it but I really can't see the guy stressing out thinking he might be convicted? He is in Lonoke County Arkansas. Smack dab in the middle of the state. Lonoke is 81.87% white and voted 75.85% Trump in the last election. 40.30% of households have children under 18 and 63.30% are with married couples.
Arkansas is completely red across the board. Governor, 29-6 State Senate, 81-19 House, both US Senators and all 4 US House Reps. There is absolutely no chance in the world that they are going to get 12 people in that county to agree that this was murder. He is likely going to get every cent of his legal fees donated as well.

I understand that but consider the stakes. If you lose, 20-25 years of your life are gone. You're now a convicted murderer. Think about that.
Then do this, walk into your local Wal-Mart and go to the customer service desk. Count the first 12 people that walk up to the counter and observe their mannerisms. Listen to their reasoning and critical thinking skills. Then consider that the next 2 decades of your life are in the hands of people like that.
I'm not outright disagreeing with you, I just think it's a mockery that a man shooting a pedophile who kidnapped his teenaged daughter should even have to deal with seeing a jury. He should get a damn medal.

If a cop found the guy first and it ended the same way with a high speed pursuit, fight, and then shooting, they would be calling that cop a hero. This Arkansas PA needs to be impeached. They are elected officials. What a scum.

Fantastic point. You can see the headline now. "Hero officer rescues teenaged victim from a violent predator after high speed chase."
Instead, this dad is charged with murder. Pathetic.

If you are a grown man, you have no reason to have your name mentioned in the same breath as a 14 year old girl.
If it is, there is something majorly wrong if you are not her father or grandfather and there still could be issues.

vigilantism
Not what this was.
Parents find child missing
Call 911
Go looking for themselves
Find perp driving with daughter
Perp fights the dad
Dad kills perp
How is this vigilantism? He wasn't tracking down and punishing the criminal, he was getting his daughter back and the perp fought back and lost. If he recovered his daughter and later went back to track down the perp to kill him, then that would be vigilantism. The perp was an ACTIVE threat to the life and safety of his daughter.
