You need to quit whining about this. We spent years saying FJB, It was fun and funny. They are doing something similar. 86 47 can be interpreted as “kill him”, but it can also be interpreted as “throw him out”. MAGA types have been thin-skinned about it, so of course they are attacking a perceived weakness.

There have been many cases of notable leftists wishing someone would assassinate Trump. That’s reprehensible. Some who write 86 47 probably intend that. Many don’t. Many intend it as a flippant way to say “Trump has to go.” That is perfectly acceptable political speech.
This is where I disagree with you. You think “86 47” means kill him. It does not. The term “86” has been used for a century to mean “throw away”, “kill”, “remove”, etc.
The left sees that it triggers MAGA, so that is plenty reason for them to gleefully use it. We would do the same. Most of the criticism of this is hypocrisy.

Just condemn it and admit to yourself that they hate and want to kill people like they tried to kill Trump, the congressional baseball team and Charlie Kirk.
It’s not that complicated and pretending it isn’t what it is makes you look like you either sympathize with them or fear acknowledging it because then you’d have to do something about it.

FWIW, in my house we used it to mean "throw away." My father would say "put this in file 86."
Honestly, did anybody think of "86" meaning "to kill" before the Comey ridiculousness?

I'm glad that Trump is President.
One of the few downsides is the craziness of people trying to justify everything Trump's underlings do to try to satisfy their boss’s need for revenge .
Comey is vile and should have been tried for conspiracy. Unfortunately, the time period to do that has passed. The DOJ is trying him on whatever they can...even if it means this bogus, doomed prosecution over 8647.
It's embarrassing watching adults now pretend that they thought 86 meant "to kill" when they had never heard that interpretation until Comey.

Many of them do hate Trump and would love to see him killed. I said so, and I deplored it. But you seem ignorant of that. Willfully?
