Argument shifts of the left

A lesson that hardly anyone on the right ever seems to learn is is how the left operates and frames arguments. The second they achieve any stated goal they instantly move the goal line and begin the struggle anew. Remember the gays, "we just want to equal rights and to be treated like human beings" and here we are with them pushing transgenderism on prepubescent children. You have to draw a line somewhere, the fact is you can't give them anything....ever

Try not to be more of an idiot than usual. This is how ALL politics works, from all parties and all points of the political spectrum.
Remember when MADD just wanted to change the drinking age?

Remember the old adage - give them an inch, they want a mile. This sums up the Left perfectly.

Let's be clear, these are two very different things.
I'm a right wing Christian and have zero problem with gay folks marrying/being treated equally under the law like any other consenting adult.
I'm not ok with people who support exploiting minors for transgenderism. Some overlap in those Venn diagrams, sure, but I know plenty of gays who are just as sickened by it and resent those who glommed onto the success of the gay rights movement to push this kind of mess.

Argument Shifts of the Left from 2004-2018:
-2004: War is bad and Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld are war criminals!
-2018: Trump refusing to engage in a ground war with Syria to remove Assad is proof he's a Russian pawn!
-2004: The Patriot Act gives unnecessary powers to agencies like the FBI and NSA that routinely violate civil liberties!
-2018: The President is causing faith in our institutions to erode when he criticizes the FBI, NSA and CIA. Julian Assange and Edward Snowden are Russian agents for exposing the crimes of said intelligence agencies.
The fact is, liberals today have zero principles other than ousting Trump, which to me is hilarious given that the man who would take his place is a hardcore social conservative.

Yes.
"The Inevitability of Incrementalism". Why this isn't obvious at this point is amazing, imo.

Then learn to ask for more conservatism than you actually want/frame the debate way to the right. Trump's Art of the Deal.

I will let you in on a secret.
A river changes between the time you put your foot into it and the time you take it out. The water surrounding your foot is completely different. And it changes again before your foot is dry.
Political issues change and evolve constantly. Society changes and evolves constantly. What matters to people changes constantly. Only dead things remain the same.
What you are faulting others for is not being dead.
The OP is an idiot.
And guess what? Tomorrow you will be outraged about something else. So perhaps you should be consistent yourself.

Leftists like yourself (actually, yourself especially) have had the market cornered on outrage for over two years now, and truly much longer than that.
So you can just zip it, frickboi.

I agree, but some issues don't apply. When you want a wall...what do you ask for...a wall with gun towers and electrified wire? There are no intellectual increment to a wall. It's a wall. Period.

Thats just dumb.
The point is not in "issues change". The example was of one (1) issue changing over time. This is a well known tactic. It's often referred to as the "Foot in The Door" tactic.

Wow, so you admit that you are all wishy washy with not an ounce of sound foundation? Thank you for finally admitting you do not have a semblance of a spine...

A word the GOP should've never used.....
acquiesce.

It's been my experience that most liberals exhibit classic symptoms of borderline personality disorder...

While I agree with everything you stated, you could easily create the same things for the Rs when Clinton and Obama were in office. There is no moral compass to either party. Both have evolved into anti-whatever the other guy wants.

"The uncontested absurdities of today are the accepted slogans of tomorrow. They come to be accepted by degrees, by precedent, by implication, by erosion, by default, by dint of constant pressure on one side and constant retreat on the other - until the day when they are suddenly declared to be the country's official ideology"
