People that believe strongly in their ideas and why they work, also can bring them into the arena of ideas with the other side.

The left's idea of an intellectual is probably Stelter, Lemon, or some random soy sucker columnist at Vox.

Coleman Hughs interviewed Noam Chomsky last month. I'd consider him an actual intellectual and not pseudointellectual dbag even though we have vastly different worldviews.

You cannot be a Leftist and be intellectually honest. The two are contradictory and cannot merge.

The enlightened leftists like to hold up proud atheists who are generally scientists as their intellectual heavyweights, people like Lawrence Krauss, Richard Dawkins, Bill Nye...etc.

I love to listen to Noam Chomsky and Richard Wolff,etc..and in a world that Adam & Eve didn't corrupt with original sin..their fantasies could actually work.

It's just that Thomas Sowell, Victor Davis Hanson, etc..can easily poke holes in their Utopian fairy dust beliefs. Because, well you know, reality.

I hear Pelosi is quite the philosopher.

She was heard shredding the Presidents speech.

I've never met a prog who didn't consider him or herself to be an intellectual.

There a quite a bit of intellectuals on the left, but they are quick to hypocrisy when it comes to social justice.

Paul Krugman definitely has the capacity to be considered an intellectual, despite his Keynesian views and condescending opinions.

Wow! That’s very offensive. You are mocking the way people speak because they weren’t “properly” educated based on an inference from you.

There are plenty.

They lack common sense though it seems. Their ideas are those of a dreamers mindset..which while you can consider it compassionate in a way, it fails to take in ramifications of action. It is why their social programs so often have massive failings despite good intentions.

You want liberals to create..but conservatives have to implement. A lot of studies prove this. The problem with a lot of modern liberalism is they do not feel they have any weakness therefore have stopped crossing the aisle for assistance. Which will fail.
