Those Hispanic voters, that the GOP is going to rely on in South Texas for strength in their new maps are purely going to be motivated by what inflation and income do because they are at the lower end of the income spectrum. The other thing that you have to consider is those S. Texas economies have be heavily impacted by deportation numbers (e.g., declining populations mean declining economic activity in a given area). Thus, these are both going to be concerns for the TX GOP in the 2026 Mid-Terms.

No. If republicans redistrict all of their states they can gain 24 seats. The most the democrats can pick up is 9-12.

is that if the Latino vote does shift back to where it more rationally has voted that these new district lines may backfire on the Texas Republican Party.
If TX's hispanic population decides to vote Dem it won't matter how you draw the districts.

it will be a big question and thing to watch for.

It’s certainly a risk. However, Mexican men (that aren’t gangbangers):
1)Own businesses
2) were raised in male centric (masculine) cultures
3) are religious
4) are trying to climb from the bottom rung-don’t have spare empathy for more illegals coming in
5) don’t eat up the “you’re brown so you are akin to black slaves” narrative

I don’t see these things changing. And I don’t see the party of Tampon Tim suddenly becoming less fey.

A good many Texas Rep are closet leftists like Corny, Crenshaw and Dade. They love being losers if the left will provide them with shrimp and hooker.

So why did Louisiana go to the Supreme Court over their districts?

Im sorry, sometimes seem illogical so I need help finding the sanity in it.
