Because there is a big difference in the minds of voters between their local good-ol-boy democrat and Nancy Pilosi, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton. The corrupt political machine keeps the local good ol boys in power by ensuring few people ever get the stones to oppose them, but the national party doesn’t have the same appeal.

If you look at an electoral map we are just as Red as other deep South states.
Our Republicans are not the same as other Southern State Republicans. Our republicans are basically bought and controlled by LABI, who wants to keep business taxation as low as possible.
However, rather than just have low/no corporate taxes, we have this asinine system of credits and whatnot.

The credits are Edwin’s invention to force businesses to come to him for favors.

In addition, the majority of Louisiana Republicans are conservative on social issues and nothing else. Louisiana Republicans (politicians and electorate) have never been fiscally conservative and have never been conservative when it comes to government intervention. I hate it. But, it is what it is.

The fact that you would suggest this As something republicans would want to support shows how Intertwined the parties have become.Republicans shouldn’t be supporting expanding access to “Free” stuff. Let the businesses train people for jobs. Why put that on the backs of taxpayers?? We are taxed enough already!!! As a Republican, I don’t want to pay for job training. We already pay for public education... which should be reading, writing and arithmetic... and failing miserably.
I'm playing the long game. The initial cost of training people pays off later with better wages that allow them to survive off welfare.
California has huge debt problems, but it effectively has a larger economy than UK. I'm not going to lie, those job opportunities make me wish I was over there. I'm okay where I am, but still...

So I would say yes, the Rino Rs in power are getting what they want, but the Citizens are being duped because we never really see that cost benefit work out like they tell us it will.
What I don't understand about your claims
1. Louisiana has been graduating larger classes every year at our Universities (not sure about CC). We do have an educated population. Why do you and others keep claiming we dont have enough people.
If anything the few companies we have can not possibly hire them all.
2. These RINOs are still local people. Why not just vote for a Louisiana Trump or Louisiana Alex Jones. Surely they exist.
