ONLY because of Trump, was an incumbent Governor with a high approval rating, almost unseated. It’s crazy how much affect he had on the voters.

Your thread is dumb.

I've never been to LA and seeing Rispone once at a Trump rally told me he probably wouldn't win.

It's the candidates, not the party.

Of course the party needs to do something about shitty candidates.

I didn’t realize JBE wasn’t the incumbent.

Your understanding of the differences between causation and correlation is pretty pathetic. Also, the point was JBE was initially elected before Trump. Reasoning is tough for you.

Nope. How are the other offices in those States? Senators? Representatives? State elected offices? How are those? Doesn't Louisiana usually have a Democrat governor? Same with Kentucky.

But hey, I can see talking points are out. So you are free to think what you want. Even though it's gibberish.

I'm concern that people are more stupid they I gave them credit for. In this political environment, if you vote for anyone with a D next to their name, then you are a fricking moron and a head in the sand shite for brains. frick your father's democratic party bs. That dem party is dead as frick. God damn, I hate ignorant rednecks and black plantation retards.

It's hard to beat an incumbent. I'm not a huge fan of his but JBE is not a far left wing Dem like Elizabeth Warren.

We've had more Dem governors than Republican in my lifetime.

Don't think for a second that these two elections are a referendum on Trump. These are a referendum on the extreme left. These two Democrat governors are socially conservative and fiscally moderate. There's your formula national Dems. I seriously doubt they take that obvious advice which is good for Trump.

I don't know if Edwards truly is pro life and pro 2nd A but he knows he'd never get elected in LA if he didn't run on that platform.

You are stupid.

Bevan was LOATHED in Kentucky (down 20 points only a few weeks out) and Trump dragged his arse to a 5k vote defeat and the GOP holds every other statewide office w/ a supermajority in the legislature.

Rispone wasn't hated, but he had significant structural and messaging issues with his campaign and he was going up against an incumbent that has been over 50% in job approval his whole first term. Trump turned what could have been a laugher into a tight race that only turned because of HUGE GOTV efforts by the Gimmiedats and, like KY, the GOP holds every other statewide office w/ a supermajority in the legislature.
