We are in a war, and you can't win a war while hamstringing yourself. Many conservatives recognize that restraint in war only drags it on and never allows the objectives to be fully realized, but they never apply it to the fight within their own country.

Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise. I know, I've tried to deal with them."

I would say most are. I know I am. I can't believe the Governor of Kentucky is not holding a press conference on the street in front of where McConnell is hospitalized if the Governor is refused access to McConnell.

Let's see... One was POTUS and one is a retiring Senator from Kentucky. Slightly different stakes there.

I want to know about McConnell, too, but he is only 1 out of 535 of the legislative branch.

Were you stoned every day of HS civics class?

Granted, POTUS is obviously a much more critical position.

But McConnell isn't one of 535. He is one of a narrow 53-47 majority in the Senate. And given that a couple of those Republicans can't always be trusted to stay on the reservation, his absence can be critical. Saying he is only 1 of 535 is just stupid.

The local shitbirds can squawk about McConnell all they want, but he gambled and won on SCOTUS when Trump beat Bill Clinton’s discard.

For all I know he may be dead, but if they roll him out in a week or so for a press conference, will Andy shitstain Beshear issue a public apology?

Frick no. He’s just licking the DNC boots on the prayer of getting on the 2028 ballot.
