So you could say, in one sense, we’re really increasing values. And maybe in a sense, we’re reducing debt.
This is the problem, stupid people will think the two are connected and that's who he's trying to sell this shite to. Using "in one sense" just gives him an out when he's questioned by anyone who went to college.
Stupid, but totally standard political banter these days. Sad.

Companies are keeping their profits from America because the countries that the monies are parked in are less communist than the U.S. in terms of corporate taxes.

So in your world taxes are not collected from profits made?
Extra cash available to companies doesn't result in increased economic activity and increased taxes or increased jobs that result in increased taxes and decreased welfare?
You must come from a simplified economic system. Politbureau says do this or die?

In your opinion which scenario is easier to live under?
Income $100,000 per year, $100,000 in debt and assets of $200,000.

It's spin, a connection is being very generous. The kind of thing apologists would say about one guy, the exact opposite about another.

Somehow propping up Wall Street furthers his anti-establishment charade. At some point I would hope the Trumpophants would grow up and see the truth.
A strong economy helps even the mentally ill left
Everyone in the United States that isnt a complete fricking moron or person with zero money should pray to god every day that Wall Street wins and wins and then keeps winning more

Take it up with any number of economists. In your haste to call trump stupid...you made yourself look like a fool. Perhaps you should take your own advice and work on getting some more education.

It was not clear whether Trump understood that the stock market and federal debt levels are not in any way connected.
This is a great example of snide little editorializing that put Trump in the White House.

They'll all say the same thing. It should have no bearing whatsoever on national fiscal policy.
Here's a great explanation:
"Comparing the national debt level to GDP is akin to a person comparing the amount of their personal debt in relation to the value of the goods or services that they produce for their employer in a given year. Clearly, this is not the way one would establish their own personal budget, nor is it the way that the federal government should evaluate its fiscal operations."

Takes quite the extrapolation to see that as being even so much as what is being suggested by his statement.
Keep at it, though. Maybe you'll get him next time.

You continue to out yourself as a simpleton. What you posted in no way addresses what trump said or whether what he said was accurate or not.
You think it's a great explanation because you aren't educated enough to know why it is completely irrelevant to the current conversation.

makes sense to me. When you have more wealth your ability to bring down depth increases. It connects but not the way you were thinking it did.

That's so true. They get to keep all of the property under control of the state, all of the rights of the people under control of the state, by simply renting an economic generator to keep the peoples placated.

Isn't this part of his job? To help evaluate and decide our fiscal operations? That's what a POTUS does.
My opinion: He knows the debt isn't going anywhere anytime soon. This is him trying to hedge his bet on something that could be conveyed as a negative and working against his image/reelection campaign, just like every president ever. He's trying to tweak the narrative around the national debt. I don't blame him.
