If ISIS starts claiming responsibility for things they are not involved with, then they will lose credibility. They know that.

No, because they make claims that are difficult to disprove. I've already covered this. It's not hard. When they make claims they can easily prove, there is evidence to support said claims manufactured as part of the operation. Because ISIL leadership is smart enough to know how to do this.

There are tens of thousands of Filipinos in Dubai. I think people in this thread have been very careful and responsible and then you rush in with a Straw Man. Slow your roll man.

so if youre a Filipino-American, and go to Dubai on vacation, youre automatically assumed to be an ISIS terrorist

Exactly. How could any freedom loving patriotic American think otherwise? duh

You left out the part where the Filipino-American's SO just mowed down 50 country singer concert goers and Islam has a 1500 year history of terrorism.

Sarcasm noted, but you're making my point.

Other ideologies that draw in vulnerable crazy people tend to inspire less damaging conduct. I'd rather the nuts go join Westboro or any number of extremist organizations that claim fewer lives than Islamic extremism.

Also they know a huge portion of people are sufficiently uninformed and will fix a bit of gossip in their mind as fact regardless of later corrections

If you're a Filipino-American, and go on vacation to Dubai before your boyfriend shoots 250 people and ISIS claims responsibility, some people may be somewhat suspicious

That's bullshite, and it comes from a complete lack of understanding of what Dubai is, and what goes on there, and who travels there, and what their demographics actually are.

Regardless of the motives for this attack, your logic here is broken by a complete lack of knowledge on the subject matter.

Yes, the media will tell us what to think. They have no reason to lie to us. All you fools and your fake news meme. ha.

Sure we will. And Santa will slide down your chimney in late December, too.

Of course. And the media LOVES them a good Isis story. So it's rent free for ISIS Propagandists

Ahhh. Yeah maybe. I doubt ISIL is gonna fund an operation to get a full auto rifle(s) when it's just as effective to use something legal and much cheaper. They and their disciples have a track record of using simple, cheap items for this kind of thing.

Anything is possible at this point tho.

What are you rambling about, Grandpa? I'm getting my info from what the CIA/FBI/Police are telling us about the shooter and scene.

I just take solace in knowing that the establishment would never stoop to such things. And that Americans are just too intelligent to fall for any propaganda that might accompany it, amirite?

Someone rebuts your point, so naturally you turn to vague insinuations about amorphous conspiracies.

That's....convenient.

That's fine, but that doesn't answer the question of whether they're going to find this guy, at least in his mind, became an IS convert.

That has nothing to do with my response to your statement that ISIL never claims things they aren't responsible for. Of course they do, and they have since the beginning in 2004. They typically will claim anything that can't be objectively proven NOT to be affiliated with them.

This guy could be anything at this point. Even ISIL. But there is no evidence at all for that yet.

Says the guy who desperately wants to believe any piece of propaganda that might link him to Islam.

This board never disappoints.
