While I don’t agree trump is a moderate leftist, I do believe Ron is saying he is further right. So y’all agree with AOC. But instead of understating the OP and offering thoughts on what she is saying, the knee jerk Ron cultist start accusing trump cultists of supporting AOC. When, in fact, in this specific situation, Ron fans support AOC’s statement that he is further right than Don. That’s what this board has turned into. A bunch of people reacting to the poster not the post.

DeSantis may be Swamp; that is why. The Ukraine issue is a good example.

I agree Trump is definitely a populist. Moderate left is debatable.

On taxes he is pretty far to the right on most taxes expect for tariffs. Trump is willing to put tariffs on the table to get good trade deals. I don't know where getting rid of carried interest for hedge fund managers fall but I agree with the policy.

On trade he is not traditional Republican. Trump at a minimum wants reciprocity in trade. IMO this is a reasonable goal.

On foreign policy Trump is classically liberal. He is basically the opposite of neo-conservatives. In general I agree with his foreign policy.

On regulations he is pretty libertarian and business friendly. I agree with him here.

On judges he is very federalist. RvW gone. A2 strengthened. AA limited. And a few more consequential decisions by his judges that I forget at the moment.

He is a sucker for spending. He will spend a lot on the military and if congress forces him to spend he will not fight it. I wish congress would force him to spend less in many situations but the problem is congress cannot control their own spending.

He is definitely nationalist when it comes to border policy. He believes in keeping labor supply on the low side to help with wages. I tend to agree.

It's hard to pigeonhole Trump politically, left, right or moderate. He is not really ideological except for making good deals. He always wants to make good deals for America.

Every time I respond to you I feel like I'm beating down on a special needs child.

*sigh* let's get through this.

quote:

1) Attacks various demographics in our country by labeling them all groomers

Yeah, Proud Elephant's video. Cool, it included footage of people saying they're coming for our kids. So they're not groomers?

quote:

2) Tells him to shite on states by saying they arent good enough to be Florida

Still mad that Daddy said Coumo did a better job despite the contrary? Trump moved his whole damn family to Florida, seems like DeSantis did a good job.

quote:

3) Makes him U-turn embarrassingly on Ukraine

In your own mind, he's been consistent in wanting us to stay out of it. Considering DeSantis actually fricking served, pretty sure he knows about the human cost of war.

quote:

4) Gets his arse kicked by Disney, and them tells him to plead with the judge to let him off the hook, or move the trial to 2025 (not a typo)

Still defending groomin arse disney. Sounds to me DeSantis has your number, bro. Starting to see a pattern here.

quote:

5) Blows his announcement bump

....and the caucuses are still months awayyyyy. January 2024 to be exact.

quote:

6) Astroturfs in small states that makes their paid for supporters easily visible

Maybe Trump should get a ground game going. Scott Pressler, one of his most fervent supporters, has said this and in good faith.

quote:

7) Pissed off entrenched local groups by hijacking their dates for Rons events

Link?

quote:

8) Told him to take a backseat to Casey

Yes we know, your soft Disney loving arse fears a woman like Casey DeSantis.

Ron is focusing a lot on social issues which are important to me. Unfortunately, barely anyone pays attention to that. They worry about day to day survival, but I’ve always been a person who tries to reflect on the big picture.
