A glass of water could win that district, as long as the glass has a “D” on it. There’s no way this lady or any Republican wins that district. It’ll take a dimocratix challenger to unseat AOC.

Worth a shot. With so much attention on AOC this is a perfect opportunity to get a Republican message out. Most of the time people probably dont see many ads or pay attention much and their default is D.

Going to be a long shot running as an R in this district though.

What she has going for her is that AOC won with only something like 30% of registered voters in the district even voting, and now it appears only 21% of voters in the district approve of her while 40% disapprove.

I’m not sure that means an R could get enough votes, but it probably means she still might have a slim chance. Doubtful, but at least possible.

It found that she has a low 21% favorability rating,

That's because she has an unbelievable 79% of America claiming to recognize her. I bet her favorability is pretty high in her district. Hell, she won the neighboring district as a write-in last time.

Not from the polls I've seen. Quite the opposite they hate her.

quote:

They don’t like her. She has a more than 2:1 ratio of unfavorable (50.88%) to favorable (21.37%) in public opinion.
They don’t trust her. Only 10.75% thought she had their best interests in mind in quashing the Amazon deal – 32.60% said she didn’t.
They don’t want her. 33.44% are ready to vote against her, and only 13.30% would vote for her.

Folks who want jobs were not happy with her Amazon stance.

That is just one poll and it certainly could be biased but even with bias it shows she isn't wildly popular in her district like you claim.

I want to believe. But somebody or something powerful put her in this position and it remains to be seen if that same entity wants her to continue

Her constituents aren’t going to forget the Amazon deal no matter how many commercials she runs. She is loathed in her own district.

Also, she jumped on out there and set the bar at "Action NOW!!" Action now without even wasting time on stuff like how to pay for it. And Im sure that sense of urgency appealed to a good bit of her voters. They want stuff fixed (and want stuff) and want it NOW!! Problem is...she hasnt really done shite bc she's off-putting and doesnt quite possess that inviting personality needed to move n shake.

She has no shot. AOC may seem extreme to a lot of the country but she is very popular in her district.
We are talking about New Yorkers here. People who like to be the center of attention.
Disagree per polls. This lady seems much more fit for her district and politics in general. She also seems to have had jobs that required a higher level of thinking than bartender who steals her peers' tips.

Doesn’t matter, you’re going to see her for a very long time, not in politics, but more likely on the view, the talk, or some other form of liberal propaganda.

What sucks is she lost 93% to 7% in her only race in NY but perhaps since this election is going to definitely get national attention (at least from right leaning media), maybe that gap can close a good bit.

She won her primary against an incumbent that blew off a debate with her because he didn't campaign at all and felt he would just waltz to another term.

She had all of 15,000 votes in that primary.

Not exactly a big turnout.

She's not wrong about anything in that ad. AOC is done. Her constituents can't stand her. I wonder if she'll still wear her congressional pin when she's tending bar again?

She’s too dumb to host a program. I agree that she’ll probably get some sort of political commentator spot, but that dumb bitch couldn’t successfully interview a Girl Scout troop.

All Trump needs to do is bring her to a rally in NYC and bash on the Amazon debacle then ask his supporters to each send $1 to her campaign .....
