Biden's disapproval ratig is >50%. The US COVID response is FUBAR. The best plan they can come up with is to send home tests to every man, woman, and child. BBB is dead in the water. Voting legislation is blocked. Midterms looming...
Enter an international bogey man. Threatening "US interests" overseas. Oh no! Cause for alarm!
This just feels like a cheap stunt to distract from Joe's failures and hopefully shore up his poll numbers by appearing strong in the face of Putin.

Maybe I was hoping it wasn't that simple because then it really is the decline in American power, similar to the Roman Empire towards the end. First Afghanistan, then Ukraine, then Taiwan...

I believe that there could literally and physically never be a better opportunity for someone like Putin to take advantage of this situation wherein the U.S. is so bizarrely perceived as weak and feckless, and of course you know why. Putin could live 10 lifetimes and not luck into a weak U.S. President like this to set the stage for some of the most provocative Russian shenanigans in recent memory. I’d seriously love to get in his mind and see exactly what he thinks of Biden and his administration. He’s probably damn near passed away from laughing so hard.
