For arguments sake, if we were to solely focus on the US and our infrastructure, the wall would make the least sense, and would be more of a waste of money. Roads, highways, bridges, buildings, all much higher on the list of infrastructure we need to invest in right now.

Boundless stupidity.

"Imagine if we stopped spending money on Ukraine!"

I don't have to imagine, we already know: tax cuts for the rich and corporate handouts.

Thank goodness then that BBB has a little over 3.2 billion specifically earmarked for Louisiana bridges and highways, despite all 5 of Louisiana's Republican representatives voting against it.

Those funds just to Ukraine probably could've helped make our urban area better infrastructure in or around the country. Definitely could've used 1 Bill for Hawaii at a minimum.

So you're basically asking for the funds that mysteriously vanish after being sent to Ukraine...to be replaced with funds that will mysteriously disappear once they are allotted to domestic projects.

Where did the Infrastructure money go that the Democrats claimed was needed?

By the time these through messing with the EPA and whatever fish is underneath the piers of that bridge, and the Indians plus the idiots and the color of pumps with their construction gear we might be on President three or four. They are not building a new bridge anytime soon. The dock is

If you are referring to the bridge in Baltimore, it needs to be rebuilt BUT the shipping company should be the ones paying for it...

Baltimore will get a new bridge and it will go over the budget and take longer than expected. Just like everything the federal government builds.

3.2 billion wouldn't even come close to afford replacing all the bridges and elevated expressways we need replaced, assuming that money ever gets spent where it's supposed to be, which I doubt. The new twin span bridge alone cost a billion dollars after Katrina, and that was in 2005 dollars.

However, the 95 billion the Senate wants to send to Ukraine and other countries actually could get our infrastructure up to date. But again, we're sending it to Ukraine instead.

So if we build two new bridges and pave roads, you 're good on spending on Ukraine?

Who knew?

Too bad the infrastructure bill wasted money on things other than infrastructure. Missed opportunity in order to pad the pockets of his cronies and buy votes.

Are we incapable of doing both?

Nothing is stopping Johnson from getting together a 95 billion dollar infrastructure bill and putting it to a vote tomorrow. Unfortunately other Republicans would likely vote against it.
