Pro-choice is pro-abortion. If we are going to have an adult discussion about it, let's at least start from a position of honesty.

I think it has the potential to skew some Senate and house races, but the real bloodbath will be between "moderate" R's and conservatives R's in state legislature races. In red and purple states where these races match up with the federal elections calendar, it could drive high turnout.

In Georgia, absolutely. There were a large number of Karens regretting their Biden decision who were going to vote republican, but they've now been venomized to go blue again.

I don't buy it, at least in large numbers. Depending on whose stats you believe, there are 600,000 to 900,000 abortions in the U.S. annually, but there are 300,000,000+ people impacted every day by the Biden disaster of an economy.

Nah.....I think the battle lines on this issue have been drawn for years. Abortion isn't popular in this country despite what they may have you believe. The zealots and maybe some liberal Karens are the ones up in arms and they are never going to vote Republican.

There are a significant number of Republican-leaning Independent voters who are prochoice. Those folks never had abortion as a determining vote casting issue because they felt Roe would never be overturned. NOW, some and, maybe most of those voters, may well NOT vote for Repub Senate and US House candidates especially since McConnell and others have called for a national ban to be adopted by Congress. This issue may even play into state races in some places.

I think every state should use a referendum to establish state rules on abortion.

I can guarantee you half of those who claim to be pro-life haven't actually considered what all is medically considered an abortion, though. They're just looking at it from the killing of unborn/unwanted babies perspective. There's a lot more to it than that and now it's up to the state legislatures to decide what is and is not an abortion otherwise there's gonna be a shite ton of "republican" women who sit out future elections if the candidates make being pro-life a big election issue.

I completely agree.
Began a thread about it yesterday to gauge appeal.
Got downvoted to oblivion.

It will only be a problem if morons like McCarthy and Pence keep banging the drum for a national 15 weeks, or less, limitation.

Take the win and move on. You clowns don't have a mandate and certainly don't have the votes for it.

In purple states like Georgia, you don't need "large" numbers to swing elections. As few as 50,000 swing-Karens can decide the election. And there are a hell of a lot more than 50k swing-karens in Georgia.

No. What will the left run on, “vote for Democrats because they will protect the Roe v Wade decision? That ship has sailed. Anything else like “the Republicans would pass national legislation outlawing abortion, therefore vote Democrat” is simply too far fetched to even try to sell with a straight face. The only people who would buy such nonsense would be those who were gonna be voting Democrat anyway.

They have far less to play with here than they think they do. And as usual they are overplaying the hand to a cartoonish extent. The economic issues that are affecting every American in extremely significant ways is now and will continue to overshadow the Roe situation, and it’s really not real close.

Oh so confronted with facts on the issue you just revert to your previously held beliefs because you just know oh so much better.

Conservatives finally get a win outside of Florida and you are going to piss yourself with fear. Even though it not only polls out as a win (more people are pro life than identify as republicans-once again a trend holding up for years on years) its also a morally right win

Well, if you call losing the vote of 2 generations of young white women a big deal....yeah. You are correct, they are pissed.

You give the average voter too much credit.

The left had no reason to go to the ballot box this fall. This definitely changed that. I think a lot of soccer moms who may have been getting tired of woke BS are now going to flip left.
