Understood.

I am mixing the two and they dont have anything to do with one another, thats on me.

Just general frustration because it seems race always plays a part in ever single narrative and its old.

If it aint broke dont fix it.

If its broke fix it and never do what you did prior ever again. Youve learned your lesson..

I think we are getting to this point.

Yes. This entire site virtually lives and dies by the "cultcha" ethos. Even the slightest hint of it turned their way, and they melt like snowflakes on Mercury.

I think you are overestimating the number of bitter "dey took er jerbs" woke right sky screamers there are outside of X and TD.

Pop quiz.

Which topic has had more threads on TD from 2001-12/24/2024:

1. H1B Visas
2. The downfall of American culture and society

If not for OP being a whiny bitch looking for attention nobody would have even thought about Vivek or H1Bs today.

Waiting for his next casting? Surely someone will give him a new role. He's a great actor.

Yes, for someone as smart as he is I figured he would have been a little more calculated with what he said. It doesn't bother me personally what he said because there is a lot truth in it, but with todays soft and politically correct people in our country it was bound to cause some butthurt.

I think he has a point, but here’s my point:

I don’t want to live in an America or anywhere that “venerates” fricken Screech and Urkel.

I am not talking about jobs whatsoever.

I am talking about his statement. I am not concerned with the job market, Im concerned with his lack of, how do I say, encouragement of the white men.

He sounds like he thinks they are better than white men.

I disagree.

Right. He began the tweet by saying Indian culture is better than American culture despite the glaringly obvious problem that they have a billion people living in squalor.

He's not wrong. American "culture" is toxic and broken. We've become "lotus eaters."

Instead of being pissed, maybe we should try to fix it.

Usual suspects "what did he say that was wrong?"...a lot.

Our culture produced the nation that everyone flocks to.
His culture produced a land of shite, trash, and disease.
India has 1.4 billion people and ostensibly their best and brightest are brought here to write code that Americans can already write - their "culture" doesn't write better code, in many cases it doesn't even write adequate code. It just writes it for a cheaper price.
1.4 billion people in that awesome "culture", 3x the population of the US, land mass far less than the US, yet that culture can't produce a thriving nation.
Graphs were produced during that H1B debate showing Americans are producing higher scores and smarter kids, not Indians. The problem we have is that our genius is contracting and that is the message that Vivek should have hit upon, rather than a shotgun blast across the whole nation declaring the whole nation is a failure.
H1B creates indentured servants and he pretends that is an indication of work ethic and culture, but anyone here that said 'I'm going to be a doctor and I'm only going to charge my patients enough to make $50k/yr would be told they are an idiot, that they must be a bag of shite as a doctor for not charging much, and so forth, but magically this type of argument disappears if we're talking H1B.

If Vivek came out and said we should simply lift our culture across the board to do more over-achieving, that would have been a great message. That's not what he did, however. He shite on the country that made him a billionaire, that took in his parents and made them rich so they could pamper Vivek's soft little arse, and tolerated his pharma scam when he was in that sector. He then pumped up the culture of a nation that gets clowned routinely for having shite and trash everywhere, disease, an absurd caste system, rampant corruption, and an entire industry devoted to getting people out rather than bringing people in. He campaigned on lifting up the US and the American People but when it comes down to it, he didn't believe any of that.

Many on this site warned about him, but because he was Team Trump, the responses were always predictable and robotic.

If what Vivek was saying was remotely true, India would have figured out plumbing and other basic pieces of society by now.

I was definitely on board with him until he made that comment.

As soon as I read it, I couldnt believe he actually said it and I was done with him.

True Vivy came out to play and now we need to send him packing.

Our culture was individual and based on excellence. Those days are long gone.

Importing foreign labor is not going to fix a culture problem in America.
