The claim you are responding to isn’t true. Muslims do in deed have a cemetery there but not to prevent Jesus from coming back (in the Quran Jesus also returns) They don’t think it prevents Jesus because in Islam Jesus isn’t Jewish, or divine, but is instead a Muslim prophet.
This is upsetting to Jews because they believe the messiah isn’t Jesus and has not come, and will be Jewish and have to walk through those gates.
There’s no biblical theologian or religious scholar in the world that thinks Jesus is prevented from coming back because Muslims buried their dead there

I don't doubt a Second Coming for one second. What saddens me is we were given a 'ministry of reconciliation' but we prefer to invest in other matters, such as End Times and the likes.

There should be a warning in this thread that a tiny minority of Christians subscribe to the ideas typically expressed by evangelicals who showed up about 1800 years after the church was established.
Listening to them you would almost believe jews have special dispensation and are not required to submit to Jesus Christ... that God is just going to forget all that and honor the heretic Jew at the end times.
But the Jew that God honors will be a Christian, or he will go where other heretics go. Not new Jerusalem.

Read Isaiah 53 to hear the prayer of the nation of Israel when they realize their rejection of Jesus was wrong. There will be a remnant of Abraham spared in the Great Tribulation because they acknowledge Jesus as Messiah.
The fact that Israel exists today is a miracle that should signal to us all that this world doesn’t have much longer. Those writers were lacking faith and could not see how it could ever happen, so they came up with your “replacement theology” and substituted the church for Israel in prophecy. They were wrong then, and you’re wrong now. The church will be gone, we are the Bride of Christ, raptured before the Tribulation.

Not sure why non Christian’s and Catholics try to discuss prophecy that they don’t even believe in. It’s so weird. Non Christians don’t believe and Catholics think everything other than the 2nd coming has been fulfilled in 70 AD.
When many many prophecies about the same topics as the destruction of the (3rd) temple were not fulfilled in 70AD and is not a description of the 2nd coming or millennial reign.
Example when did the Jews flee to Bozrah (Petra) to survive from Nero?
