GOD is not interested in what "you think" scripture means, but rather you prayerfully desire to know what it means.

All you need to know. Sort of like the 10 virgins (bridesmaids) found out. Need to keep oil in your lamps!

Matthew 24: 36 (NIV) “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father"

There are exactly zero doctrines that everyone claiming to be a Christian everywhere believed. Also, look at Ezekiel 37: Dry, dusty, dead bones. God restores them piece by piece and finally breathes his spirit into them. It's going to happen.

Good luck getting through the thick skulls around here. They hate the nation of Israel and try their best to seperate it from biblical prophecies of the end times, but they are blinded and most of them are taught replacement theology. God said he would bring them back into the land from all the nations of the world and we see that literally fulfilled! How people get around it is some serious eradicating of scripture.

Aren't you the guy upthread mocking the silly Christians?

I mock silly beliefs (including religious ones) that make people support another country's interests over the interests of their own country.

Because it's stupid to associate with those "prophecies".

It's taking bits and pieces and dissecting the Bible like an academic text book, not seeing the God labouring in love behind it.

Is this what the Apostle Paul did?

I just think y’all should spend less time worrying about God’s plane for the world and a little more time aligning your will with God’s and preparing to meet Him. Jesus may return in our lifetimes, but in any case you might be hit driving home from work today or choke to death on your dinner. So make sure your soul is ready

dang Protestants with their third temple nonsense.

Pretty clear in the Bible that Jesus and his church were the third temple

Why do Christians believe the modern state of Israel holds any kind of favor with God when the Jews rejected his covenant through his Son, who they categorically deny?

I’d go so far as to say the emphasis on end time prophesies can be (not always!) a sign of weak faith. People who are afraid to die awaiting what eye has not seen and ear has not heard and want it to instead happen before they die in a way that is undeniable. It’s like they’re Doubting Thomas

If Golum wouldn’t have found the “one ring to rule them all” while fishing, Frodo wouldn’t have had to go to Mordor.

Point is, works of fiction shouldn’t dictate how we approach real life. Grow up and stop believing in fairy tales.

but these people are absolutely convinced that the modern day country of Israel is somehow part of God's plan.

Israel is not just the nation, it is the Jewish people as well. A man's name was changed from Jacob to Israel to represent the "chosen" people of God. And when they left captivity in Egypt, Jacob (Israel) made them promise to carry his bones back to the land of his Fathers. Where do you think that land may be?

Fun Fact: The muslims have established a cemetary at the gate that Jesus is expected to return and enter through, because they know no good jew would defile himself and be unclean by walking through a cemetary. Serious irony here.

Why no one should give their crocodile tears any credence. They only want to conquer and aren't capable of winning in battle, so they cower behind the innocent knowing we wont do what it takes to demolish them.

Though sounds like that cemetery sounds like a good spot for a pig farm.

I can't imagine worshipping a god who tells me to kowtow to another group of people because they're his "chosen".

And Jacob was not a real person, and the Exodus story is not true.

The Israel mentioned in the Bible is not the Israel of today.

It's really hard to have meaningful conversations on this board.
