Would record the morning simulcasts and then watch them at night zipping through all the (many many) commercials.

The Imus ensemble was laugh out loud funny pretty much every day. Nothing was off limits.

I'm sure, over the years, he was hell to work for for many, but - at the same time - probably the best job any of them would ever have.

RIP Imus.

I fricking nearly choked out laughing at Imus working Beck over on his own radio show.........this is the I Man at his best.

Find the Opie and Anthony episode where they call Imus to discuss some other DJ being censored, and Imus tells Opie that he may or may not be Opie's dad

It was so perfect that O&A just used it in their bit from then on RIP IMUS.

I miss the old days with Imus and Charles and Bernard. Get off my lawn

In the link I provided there's a serious moment where Beck asks Imus , "Where do we go from here?", Beck was referencing the country with Trump as POTUS. Imus gets serious and answered, (paraphrased) there's people running the country that are going to to take Trump down and Trump needs to drop the contentious bickering and focus on being POTUS.

I worked with Don Imus for a week when he made his broadcast debut as a national radio host for Westwood One in New Orleans. He was a really an incredible guy off the microphone and he would always take time to send me a personal thank you note every year I donated to his cancer charity.

He will he severely missed by those thousands of children’s lives him impacted if only for a few days.

RIP Don

You worked for Imus for a week? Dude, just one week with Imus is good for a whole evening of drinks and recollections.

Sorta like the RBG can't-wait-til-she-dies type of threads on here OR the McCain so-glad-he-is-dead threads.

Never heard his radio show but liked him as a guest on Tim Russert. One of the early casualties of the PC culture.

Yeah, I guess you never listened to Imus, he was an equal opportunity offender. Imus was not strongly conservative or liberal.....I guess he would’ve been considered a libertarian......doesn’t matter, he was very funny and a great radio personality.

We watched him every morning on RFD and then FBC. Seems like his wife was a big Mark Levin fan. Loved the characters he had on... the comedian that played the part of Dagen McDowell’s sister.
RIP I Man. Thanks for the memories.
