He was nominated and confirmed before Corker & Alexander left. When a senator is in the president's party the senator has a big say in his state's judicial picks. Tennessee had TWO republicans, both of whom had been there awhile. In fact, a senator can blackball a pick that he doesn't like from his state.

I remember Corker bragging about how at least a couple of dozen republican senators didn't like Trump and worked against him when they could. I am sure ol' Bob and Lamar made sure to "guide" Trump's choices for TN so he wouldn't nominate someone too "extreme" who would fall under the "muh bad candidates" line of bullshite.

If you want a Republican president to be able to do better clear our the RINO shitheads in the senate.

I'd like to fire every single drag/LGBT even straight person, "ally" or not, out of a cannon if they hint at trying to come in contact with and/or influence children or even young adults, but it's a tough line to draw between their rights and doing the right thing. Going too far trying to do the right thing can backfire, and worse, good luck finding two people to agree 100% on where the line is in every case. Drag queens are generally puke and gross, but then again we have Shirley Q. Liquor, not to mention Kids in the Hall, Benny Hill, etc. I think they do have a right to free expression, but I think we have the obligation to protect kids, and I have the desire to keep them from spreading their filthy mind virus.
