A San Francisco judge just blocked Trump from cutting FEMA’s bloated payroll in HALF.
Judge Susan Illston told DHS it could not shrink FEMA from 23,000 jobs to about 11,000. That includes the on-call disaster contracts the unions rushed to court to protect.
The same crowd that lectures you about “efficiency” suddenly needs every last federal job when it is theirs.

Just because she didn’t rule the way you wanted her to doesn’t mean she’s rouge. Maybe she’s just following the law.
Follow me on this here…maybe the republicans who tout efficiencies and cutting back on federal spending and currently control the House, Senate and Executive office should have gotten off their butts and changed the law to do this legally. Maybe you’re mad at the wrong people. But by all means, keep voting for the same people over and over again.

The judge ruled DHS cannot interfere with FEMA independent hiring authority. They have no independent hiring authority. FEMA is controlled by DHS who is controlled by the executive branch, the supreme court has ruled on this repeatedly and even admonished rogue judges, and yes this is a rogue judge, to stop the nonsense.
Remember Elon said the federal govt has govt contracts, 1000s of them that just roll over in perpetuity and no one looks into them. This is the case here. There are contracts with CORE that are two and four years for emergency work during disasters. The govt wants them to be 90 or 180 days.....when they are actually needed, not four years of sitting on your arse getting paid and not doing anything cause no disaster hit your geography.

there is another way to handle surplus employees. Put them to work, sort mail, deliver packages, clean offices, cut grass, remove graffiti . Keep paying them the same salary but do not let them sit on their as- doing nothing

Judge has no standing authority over FEMA falls under DHS shes assuming Article II powers she does not have.
These activist judges dont even need to have hearings the law has little or nothing to do with how they rule, the outcome is cut and dried.

I worked with the lady whose sister brother-in-law and two nephews all worked for FEMA. All they ever talk about was the five star hotels the gourmet meals that they ate never about anybody they helped.

Best idea I have seen in a while. Kudos. They are all working for the same government. They need to be crossed trained so they can keep busy. If they don’t want to do that, fire them.

This. They are supposed to report to an office and do some training and stuff when there is no emergency. Which means they aint doing shat most of the time.
Thats why you cut it and let the states handle it. Why would you be flying people all over the country when a state can handle it.
