My monthly contribution went up 3%. Deductibles and coverage did not change.

Open enrollment started week before last.

On a related note, about a month ago I called on a Monday to schedule a wellness exam and they had no appointments available until Wednesday.

Great anecdotal evidence... Guess you're an anomaly that nothing within your plan went up, huh?

Not really. He's on a group plan and your link is about individual plans.

Lol. You're poor and on Medicaid with the rest of the takers.

Just got my letter from Humana (funny how it arrived 6 days after election day). Exact same plan as last year will cost me 9% more this year. $600 per year more for my family plan.
Many doctors in my area no longer take insurance. Most have dropped Medicare.

You sure it's not Medicaid?

Probably that too, but long before ACA. My mother had to change docs when hers stopped taking Medicare in 2012. Others in the area have followed suit.

Well I am not on Obamacare, but my mom's went from a $0 deductible to a $5,000 deductible, but her premiums went down by 22cents a month.

Guess I'd better start doing some research on my local doctors then.

Thanks.

On the surface, my premiums only went up 1.5%. Under the surface, to offset the additional expense that my employer is now covering my wife is no longer eligible for my plan and had to take our the shitty insurance with high deductibles her employer has.

Net result is a 53% increase in our monthly premiums.

Do you even fine print brah?

Mine went up only about 13% but my deductable skyrocketed.

Overall, I'm not pleased. My out of pocket maximum is $6,000 more than last year.

On the bright side: my company covers the first $1500 of my deductable every year. I'm sure they'll get that out of me though.

I have yet to realize any positive thing about Obamacare for my family. Nothing about it has helped us.
