How would Aventatti have access to the source of funding?
Schneiderman leaked it on his final day.

Avenatti. If you can't trust a lawyer who's firm went bankrupt and has been sued by nearly every business partner he's held....well who can you trust?
Bankruptcy. I see that a single purported creditor filed an involuntary bankruptcy petition against the law firm (based upon a VERY small debt), that the creditor has since disappeared, and that a dismissal of the petition is in the works. Is there more?
Patrick Dempsey. I see that Avenatti and Patrick Dempsey are engaged in litigation regarding a failed business venture. Are there others?

Putting your faith in Avenatti would be foolish. He is what he is.
But, just because he says something, doesn't make it wrong.
Cohen is as about as slimy as Avenatti, but he swims in a lot bigger pond.

Do you think it is strange that this oligarch has a long history with the Clinton's prior to this story?

Hey meph, considering the conservative party in the UK is even to the left of the democratic party here, why do you still opt for labour? It's a pretty hardcore actual socialist party.

This isn't about faith. Avenatti is providing a model for Democrats to follow. He has basically gone full Trump. He's everywhere - it's like when Trump was on all 3 news networks doing live interviews 3 or more times a week. He is a huge portion of the news for just one guy.
As for those calling him a crappy lawyer or just stupid - he took would should've been a nothing case and turned it into one of the biggest cases of this decade. Daniels vs Trump and subsequently SDNY vs Cohen are going to be on news channels right through the midterms and he's made Cohen and now Giuliani look like absolute clowns.
Trump started out as a joke in the 2016 election. Daniel's suit started out with an off hand comment from Michael Cohen. Nothing. And then it was just her using it to raise a the profile of her appearances a little. Trump and Cohen wrote her off as a liar and moved on. But it snowballed when it turned out they'd attested within legal documents referring to a gift to they made to the Trump campaign and never bothered to declare. And basically every move they've made since then has made it worse, so bad that the lawyer of a sitting president is having his office raided either for receipts that show when he was reimbursed for his hush money or the fradulent billing practices he's engaging in.
(Hoping this post gets an errerrewhere response mentioning my wife)

That's a good question. I don't follow UK politics quite as much as I used to. What's called socialism here isn't what the rest of the world recognizes as socialism. In the UK and most of the rest of the developed world it's simply expected that the central government has a large hand in providing various public services, owing in part to efforts to rebuild after WWII, which resulted in social programs that contribute to national identity and pride. Those institutions, like the NHS, french agriculture and nuclear power etc are just part of reality in those countries now. A bit like the second amendment here. In the Blair/Brown era I think it's pretty hard to argue Labour really moving towards anything more socialist given the lack of tax rises for sales or income tax, and although they did introduce a minimum wage the high rising cost of housing and energy in that era made everyone who didn't own housing or sell utilities poorer.
Corbyn is surprisingly far to the left for a British political leader. I like his personality, I'm not into everything he proposes but then again, my biggest actual area of interest in politics is electoral reform, but it's rarely something you hear major political parties talk about for obvious reasons. There are some decent Tories, David Davies, Ken Clarke, maybe Amber Rudd, but as a party they're not interested the long term reinvestment in the NHS, schools, police and power generation the UK desperately needs.

Being used to socialism doesn't make it not socialism
