Correct. The constitution is to protect citizens.
You just showed you know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING re: Constitution.
Guess I’ll tell all LE they can ignore the whole 4th/5th Amendment thingy when confronting illegals here, per your advice esquire.
They’re HUMANS given certain inalienable rights by GOD, not the state.

yall suck
answer my question if this will be state charges only or federal and state charges please.
would be huge huge reversal by the feds if it applied to federal crimes too.
most states already give rights back, but feds dont.

If a person has served time for the crime and is released from prison and supervision, that person has every right as any other citizen.
You really think someone convicted of attempted murder with a firearm should be able to own firearms?

Yes.

Yes.
They’ve already proven that they can’t be trusted to not illegal shoot someone. You seriously don’t have a problem with violent convicted criminals walking around with firearms?

Why let them out of prison then?

It is a 2nd Amendment case, therefore .......... it encompasses federal and state.

If a sentence is complete, no probation, no parole and no unpaid fines, fees, restitution, then I am in agreement. That individual has done everything the law requires to pay for their crimes.
Even if they murdered, assaulted, or raped someone? Sorry, sometimes life has to have consequences.
I'm for restoring rights for certain non-violent offenses, but to extend that to crimes of violence is a bridge too far.

So another die hard conservative that is ok with infringing the 2A?

If they are free, they get every right of a free citizen. We used to hang, electrocute, or drug murderers or rapists until they died. Therein lies the problem.
We used to!!

Yes, I am more in line with the "throw away the key" style punishment for murderers.
But, if they complete their sentence of rehabilitation as prescribed by the soft fricks/left they should have access to guns.
Are some saying they are not rehabilitated? It would seem so.

Actually, no. I think the issue here, IMHO, isn't whether or not violent criminals should have their rights restored after "paying" for their crimes. The issue is why are they even out in society to begin with.
But since we refuse to completely remove violent predators from society, we are forced to deal with the reality of giving someone who might be prone to violence a right to own guns, and that, for me, is a bridge too far.

White collar doesn’t lose their gun rights now.

Anti-gun Democrats have attacked the Second Amendment with a lot less.
Moms Demand Action thanks you for your service.

Which, for violent crimes, isn't enough. Sorry, but the punishment for violent crimes isn't nearly as severe as it should be.

OK. What should it be?
More importantly, why is that a reason to attack the Constitution?
