Bring ‘em on. Democrats never learn.

They’re going to Wellstone Memorial Trump right back into the White House.

Atlanta (Ebenezer, invitation only...and Trump is NOT invited)

Did they actually make the point that Trump was NOT invited? Do they actually think that he'd come if they didn't publicly point out that he wasn't invited to Lewis' private funeral? Or it just a news comment designed to stir up crap?

If it’s from the Atlanta CBS affiliate, yes (they’re the 4th place network).

Obama wrote an essay crediting John for the BLM movement.

LINK

The last funeral is private but does not list any politico celebs as going. If they can't be on camera why bother.

Conventions were cancelled. Regular people were not allowed funerals during covid. The democrats and McCain turn funerals into politics.

Mourned ? Yes.

Idolized? No.

6 ceremonies is ridiculous.

Let's be real, most of this is nothing but politics and a high profile fundraising tour.

To be honest, I think this is completely justified given he was a civil rights hero. He should be mourned.

When do we get to talk about the lying part to foment racial division?

because the piece of shite did that too, right then in front of everybody

Ironically that has been whitewashed.

You can't have all your baby mamas showing up at the same funeral. Talk about awkward.

He will have more funeral locations than things he actually accomplished in life.
This is one of the dumbest things I will read this week.

You probably do not agree with everything that the man represented. Hell, I know that I do not.

But he was essentially the last surviving member of the leadership of the Civil Rights Movement. The memorials to him are essentially memorials to that movement as a whole ... a movement that (in many ways) transformed America.

PERSONAL accomplishments.

His singular personal accomplishment appears to be getting the living frick knocked out of him in Selma.

Praising him for the Civil Rights struggle is like honoring the last guy on the bench for the Murderer’s Row Yankees for all the accomplishments of Ruth, Gehrig, and the other stars.
