Murders are up. That’s sort of a biggie. Also the police commander in DC was just fired for not accurately reporting crime data so who knows if the other property crimes are really down when the data is corrupt.

Not in the case of DC. Trump isn't stepping into some random city in America here. The federal government is responsible for DC. There wasn't even a DC city government until the feds created it 50 years or so ago. Before that it was run by a commission that was appointed by the president, so again - this is well within fedgov's remit.
