I hear you. But thats part of what I mean. You shouldnt even talk about what happened since they’ve been here.
They want damages for slavery. How do you measure that? Not by comparing whites and blacks here... if they had never been enslaved, their ancestors wouldnt have come here. Everything thats happened since they left the shores of African continent - is moot.
Whats the average like back home - compared to average life here. Everything else is irrelevant.
ETA: when i say they would have never come here if not enslaved - i mean that those who did come here NOT AS SLAVES wouldnt be eligible for reparations anyway. They chose to come here and were not enslaved.

Reparations will solve nothing.
Black people in inner cities are fricked over, but it's not because of slavery of their ancestors. Just giving out money and not actually fixing anything is fricked up.
Inner city schools are deliberately kept in horrible conditions with limited supplies and unqualified teachers, so that the students have to work several times harder to acquire knowledge.
Hold local politicians accountable and fix inner city schools.. and so many issues will solve themselves.

Why don’t democrats start a go fund me page for this like republicans did for the border wall . If they really feel like blacks should get reparations then why not do the right thing and give it to them . Why are democrats only willing to do something they think Is right if the government forces everyone too ? Atleast the democrat run states should take care of this issue .

I’m ok with paying anyone $350k, provided they renounce their citizenship and leave the country never to return. The benefits of them leaving would pay for itself within a generation.

How about this take out every African-American that
1) Went and got a college degree
2) held a job that made more than 50K in a year
3) Received more than 100K in any type of benefits.
Welfare, Housing, Food Stamps, WIC, Social Security,
EIC.
