2 to 1, sheriff's office and Florida Fish and Game will just shut it all down one day if it gets out of control not allowing boats to gather anymore...

At the very least its really gross to have that many goddamn boats in such a small, naturally beautiful area. I'm sure the wildlife and ecosystem love it.

Each time I’ve been down there on vacation it’s gotten worse. I really don’t understand how a lot of them afford it and I’m not just talking about blacks.

A lot of them? You mean black people? So I guess Crab Island is supposed to be a white only space?

How is having 500 black people partying on crab Island any different than 500 white people partying on crab Island?

I have been on crab Island many times with black events and those people are fun as hell and harmless

I thought this whole racist thing ended a long time ago in our country but apparently it hasn't

They were asked about this and they said that since they made it a national park that they do not have the authority to do something like that. The Sherriff was interviewed on the radio about it yesterday. He also said that the videos being put out are old and the incident this last weekend were two women only and it was handled quickly.

Ive lived here for 21 years and you are right. It is a nothing burger. I haven't been to crab island the last couple of years and when I go to the beach, I go at 7am and I'm gone by 10am at the latest. This is the first time I've heard of anything happening out there in a few years and it seems like it was not much other than they spread it on social media as a take over in which it really wasn't.

Destin summer demographics started really changing probably around 10 years ago. It coincided with 30A stickers being on every Yukon Denali in the private school carpool line.

Apparently you’re stupid then because I specifically said I’m not just talking about blacks. You seem the one to make a big rant over race so I guess we aren’t over it. Go back and read my unedited post….

People make fun of 30A, but it’s worth the money if you just want to drive from Louisiana for a shorter trip. Most of the houses will do 3 or 4 day minimum. Otherwise fly somewhere tropical

Stayed two years in a row at Rosemary ‘21 an ‘22 I think. Friend of a friend had a time share and didn’t use the last half of his week because he also had LSU season tickets. Both times we watched LSU-Auburn at a local sports bar (Shades?). Late September early October is definitely the best time to go. Not too hot, but warm enough to enjoy the water. Yellow flags the whole time (haven’t seen green flags since 1987).

Video evidence says otherwise. But you go ahead and enjoy the savagery if that’s your thing.

Crab island looked like a litter box, even after the turds went back to Mo-ntgomery-bile.

I think I’m going to recant on my OP. It didn’t look like a 3rd world shithole. It looked like the “missing link” scene from 2001: ASO (but without the divinely imposed intelligence). My bad.
