But can you 3-d print a 3-d printer? Whoa! Mind blown.

I think 3D printing has the greatest economic potential out of all the technology that’s on the not too distant horizon. You could turn American households into small scale manufacturers which could cause a renaissance for small businesses.

They are definitely improving with the type of materials being used. Watched one video several months back where they tried 10 different methods and the last one they tried was the one that held together (for the most part).
I think the science behind 3D printing is amazing; but like one of the above posters said, criminals will also take advantage. Traceability is what puts these guys away at the end of the day. Thanks for your input.

I'm actually shocked that the citizens won this. Rarely do you win against fedgov. No way under Obama would this have happened.

I suppose someone could make a living selling 3D printed guns to them but you gotta take good with the bad. That's the cost of freedom. Criminals will get their hands on weapons regardless

Probably not your rank and file pushers but if I'm heading up a cartel operation you better believe I'm thinking of putting some funds into easily made untraceable firearms.

Who needs a 3d printer? I have a shop downstairs from my office where I could make a functional firearm out of sheet metal, if I were so inclined.

I'm fine with it. There are still laws against reckless endangerment and murder.

You might could. But with this anyone could.

High end drug dealers will have the money. They will just sell those guns too.

I can build a gun out of a 2x4 and a piece of pipe. This is not a big deal.
