I disagree. The American people in the early 20th century ruined things by supporting several progressive Constitutional amendments.

I think this is the first time I've up-voted Mickey. Having said that, he is speaking about the ideal. Unfortunately, while the tremendous opportunity afforded everyone by the Constitution and Bill of Rights is RIGHT THERE for any American citizen to take advantage of, they would RATHER tear down the system. So, America, in and of itself including its founding documents is an absolutely awesome system ensuring equality and pursuit of happiness. What happens when people don't want to be happy? Look no further than the progressive, leftist Democrats. It's not because America is racist. It's because Democrat fricking losers can't compete and have been 'encouraged' not to by every fricking hand-out a politician can use to buy a vote.

Couldn't the same then be said to white settlers who did a very similar thing?
From the late 1800s to the 1950s, white Europeans fled their home countries to make America their home.
